I am wondering if Nate has found holes in Palhares’ stand up game that he feels he can exploit early in the fight like he did against Maia or if he is more concerned about the takedown in this fight and may not open up on the feet as much.
Also, PLEASE ask him if there is anything input he may have on the Carwin PED story. I know it may not endear you to him very much but I think he has the ability to speak about it not only as a training partner but as a former user himself.

I know MMANation RARELY covers boxing (and frankly IDK any shows that cover boxing like MMANation does MMA) but could you speak on Mayweather’s actions on the Ustream and predict what may or should happen?

They’re going to have to forfeit the deposit to the Patriot Center, I’m not sure if any of the sponsors were local but they all must be out, and all ticket sales are out.
Is rescheduling the fight an effort to recoup some expenses and fulfill fighter and network contracts?

If someone in the Zuffa umbrella is going to get the fight, I wouldn’t think that MTB would get it. Urijah would be the first choice I would think, or Jose Aldo.

But I don’t see them throwing Pacquiao in there with one of their champions. Too much of a risk, and to non-MMA or casual MMA fans Aldo isn’t any more of a draw than Faber.
Wonderful, I get to brace for Luke to shit on WKR as a whole, rather than the one guy who ran the Lavigne story(stories). I still got love for you Luke, I can’t hate you and your beard. Now, you could say that you were disappointed that it wasn’t pulled by the higher ups, but there’s quite a few people who you’ve verbally shat on who had nothing to do with it.

The Journal de Montreal is a sensationalist, tabloid newspaper
Albeit a large one here. I would not put it past them to bend the truth or outright lie to put out a controversial storyline and/or to defame someone (Saku Koivu, for those who follow hockey).
They make TMZ look like angels by comparison.
Actually, I’m pretty sure Mayweather makes like less than 1% of his income from sponsors. I’d have to track down the article but I believe Zach Arnold pointed out that Mayweather made only $70,000 on endorsements last year. This is amazing, considering his standing in boxing.
How much average you think boxers take home?
Cause I always assumed they made millions but a lotta boxers ain’t ballin. I forget sometimes they gota pay promoters and trainers and such
I know most boxers make jack all in the sport. Mayweather makes tens of millions in the ring, is considered one of the top two p4p fighters in the world, yet he only makes a smidgeon of that in endorsements. I’m just pointing out the disparity on how the guy’s personality or whatever has made him pretty difficult to market to sponsors.
Here’s what bothers me, who the hell besides Gomi is KTFO’ing people at 155? Edgar was landing some really hard shots, and BJ Penn’s got a sick chin to boot…
