Phil Davis vs. Tim Boetsch in the Works For UFC 123

According to mmajunkie.com:
Sources close to event today informed that the light heavyweights, Phil Davis and Tim Boetsch have agreed to fight at UFC 123, and paperwork is on its way.

UFC 123 is expected to take place Nov. 20 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit.

Considering that Boetsch could not do anything against the wrestling of Jason Brilz, I doubt that Boetsch can do anything against the wrestling of Mr. Wonderful. I am a fan of Boetsch too, but he is obviously getting fed to Davis here.

because Tim Boetsch was goddamn boring beyond description at UFC117 and had the most lackluster victory this side of Nik Lentz. This is his reward.

That fight was awful.

Both guys are fucking great in person though and I hate seeing either one lose.

I’m telling you dude, you should have just gotten on one of the shuttles to the hotel and hung out at the bar there with everybody after the fight.

Jason Brilz didn’t have much trouble outwrestling Boetsch to a decision win. I don’t think Davis will have much trouble doing the same.

It's great to see him doing well

I know there was a lot of hand wringing when he was signed by the UFC, lots of concern over whether or not he was ready for the big show but the UFC has done a damn good job bringing along their prospects at 205.

I don't think so

Boetsch is a tough guy, but Davis should handle him pretty easily, if he is who we think he is.

people often get into the hypetrain too much and forget that Davis’ MMA career is still on it’s infancy… he still has a lot to develop in his game, and Boetsch is just the right guy to match up and test him at this point in time.
