Kevin Iole calls Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s rant hateful and racist:

"Mayweather referred to Manny Pacquiao as a "yellow chump," "a midget" and said "Once I stomp the midget, I’ll make that (expletive) make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice." He also alluded to his belief that Pacquiao uses performance-enhancing drugs, noting the fight will occur when Pacquiao quits, as he calls it, taking "them power pellets."

"(Mayweather's) corporate sponsors are going to run faster than Usain Bolt. It’s not likely that AT&T and Reebok, two Fortune 500 companies who have sponsored Mayweather, will ignore his words. You can count on the fact that his career with them is effectively already over. It’s going to be a brave company who would ever want to associate its brand with his name."

Going to need a primer on this guy for MMA fans pretty soon. James Toney might have not got any boxing fans for MMA but he did get this MMA fan interested in boxing. That and I like Pacman’s aggression.

I'm sorry, I find "racist" jokes funny

All races, all the time pretty much. Have a sense of humor ppl. I think for real racism to exist there has to be hate. This is fight building. This is shit talk between ppl that are about to have a fight.

When the doors are closed, and you are with your close friends and family, most of you make the same kinds of statements.

I don’t think it’s “racist” to point out ethic stereotypes and poke fun at them. For that matter the definition of racism is believing that one race is superior to another. Nothing Floyd says points to that. Maybe bigoted is the better word to use here. And as Archy Bunker has taught us, bigotry can be cute, even loved by many ppl.

+1 for having a sense of humor

Floyd’s stereotyping if anything. And when he called him a “yellow chump” he was probably calling him scared.

Maybe some people here are racist for assuming he was being racist.

Don’t tell people to have a sense of humor because they get offended by this, this is blatant racism and Floyd means for it to be blatantly racist. None of this is funny, and not just because “oh, he said some offensive things,” it’s not funny because there is nothing humorous about the way Floyd stated this. You must have some pretty loose standards as far as what makes you laugh because Floyd basically released a statement that any 5th grader could have come up with.

Josh Barnett is a thrice proven juicer with a pro wrestling mindset and a personality that would lead you to believe he's never had a romantic encounter that didn’t start with "you gotta pay me upfront."

Whats wrong with racist jokes, or sexist jokes, homophobic, obese, stupid, poor, etc? If we could not make jokes about things that are offensive to some people there would be no jokes left in the world, no more stand up, sitcoms, etc. Just because someone likes some rated R humor does not make them and there family dumb pricks.

I find them to be very ignorant and unfunny, if you like them, good for you. My only point here is that you shouldn’t assume everyone else does them or likes them just because you do… Everyone has difference of opinion on pretty much everything, you can’t assumemost of the people does these types of jokes’ behind closed doors is what I’m refuting here. Regarding the ‘dumb pricks’ line it’s my personal opinion.

“We agree with, you know, his demands,” Pacquiao said. “I wanted to know if that’s his real reason [for not signing to fight].”

you’re trying so hard to make it sound like if it was the other way around, how much shit would Manny been getting? but the fact is that Floyd is getting shit for it, so your comments are nothing more than trying to make it sound like people only care about racism when it’s against black people. First you comment what Al Sharpton’s response would be for this, fyi, Al Sharpton doesn’t speak for black people, if the media wants to get his response for racist related stuff, then that’s on the media… if you don’t like him, call the channel that uses him the next time and tell them to get someone else for a change…

I always found that analogy a bit dumb, “What if it was a white guy that did this, bla bla bla” (this is used a lot by the media, specially Fox), if there is room to say this stuff, it means that there is already outcry for whatever it is that the person is trying to use that analogy for.

Mayweather apologizing isn’t goin to save the situation. There’s just some things you can’t say. If the tables were turned though, I think it’d be more of an uproar. I don’t understand. I’m black andlatino and I know I’d flip my case if Paciauo came out w/ a racist rant.

Maybe I’m wrong for saying this but the Asian comunity is lacking a strong political leader like Jesse Jackson. A lot of things have been said and I dont think enough has been done about it. Like the basketball team that slanted their eyes during a photo shoot. The only ones that got on their ass was the Olympic commission.

I REALLY hope this gets blown up. Cause this is totally uncalled for and shows an incredible lack of etiquette.

What he’s SUPPOSED to be is a speaker for the ones that can’t or don’t speak for themselves. It’s a double edged sword though. But in this case, I’d prefer a “strong leader” to say something about how offensive this is to the Asian community.

As a lifelong boxing and fighting fan....

I have always enjoyed watching Mayweather fight. Unfortunately the guy is an idiot outside of the ring. He surroundings as a child obviously never taught him any real values or positive character traits.

It’s a shame, the guy has always had the potential to become a Jordan-like athelete. It’s painfully obvious that Floyd has some deep rooted issues. He made around 20 million for the Marquez fight last year and around 40 million for the Shane Mosley fight a few months back, and yet the guy has major money problems. He is still in trouble with the IRS and is rumored to be heavily in debt.

How do you make close to 70 to 75 million in 12 months and still have money problems?

The only answer I can think of….. Floyd is dumb as fuck.
