Pic #4 = Greatest Fighters Ever
Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Muhammed Ali all together is the mount olympus of boxing man.
Roman from South Jersey, here for two things chewing bubble gum and kicking ass and I'm all out of bubble gum!
I skimmed past it
after reading your comment I went back and looked and it sunk in what I was looking at. 3 of the greatest from three different era’s. The amount of Talent/Skill/Knowledge in that photo in unreal.
Never got all this Ali worship. Admittedly he was before my time but people think of him like some sort of demigod. I’m not that into boxing but my friend who is firmly believes that the Klitchsko’s of today are way better than Ali was, but just aren’t as recognized because they aren’t American or charismatic/polarizing like Ali.
Goldberg on Leben: One thing's for sure--he really did break that door on the Ultimate Fighter.
Rogan: uh...yeah.
You have to look at
How young Ali was when he first took his title, also the level of competition he faced. No one wanted Sonny Liston, but this kid with a big mouth put him away early, despite few thinking he could. Liston, Fraiser, Foreman, those are bad men. Vitali and Wladimir could very well be better, but they don’t have the iconic rivals Ali faced.
It's like comparing Jordan to LeBron/Wade..
Of course the stars of today are better. But it doesn’t make Jordan’s accomplishments have less meaning, because guys like him shaped how the sport is today. The Lebrons the Wade’s are good now because of Jordan.
