I love the show man, but why exactly is it that we can’t hear the callers? I know that Sherdog Radio has audio for their callers, idk if that’s because they have more sophisticated/ different technology than you, but it really does put a damper on the show.

LIstening to it live is just not very enjoyable because that the fighter interviews are also over the phone.

Seems Luke pretty much does webcast on his own and it is not tied to any hardware the station has.

It’s a pain, especially when we learn how great the caller is and how they made really great points.

If Dana wants to prove a lot of MMA critics wrong, he should give the fighters a 6 month period to clean up and then enforce the best testing around.

I think a nice start would be for Dana to subject guys that have popped to random Olympic testing and the fighters pay for it.

Then I think all fighters should be subjected to it eventually.

It’s just that Dana has a chance to raise the bar of drug policy in sports. This would also be him putting his money where his mouth is. He won’t because they are getting great performances from these drugged up guys.

Dude, WRONG.
Suggesting that you should turn a blind eye to someone who tests positive to PED’s is ludicrous. The thing you are missing here is that the guy he is fighting may NOT be on PED’s. Last time I checked, that’s not fair, and in a combat sport this could potentially be dangerous.

I say

Chael takes whatever time he has off due to suspension to put on a gi, go to a world class jits place, and learn some god damn triangle/ armbar defense. He has no business fighting for a title until he can do that.

And if it fits within the timeline, I say he has to fight Maia for his return match.

I thought something was wrong with my speakers

and was kind of mad that I was missing this man’s terrible singing. Then I read a description of the video and realized part of the problem was that he neglected to sing about 75% of the lyrics.

As a classically trained singer

and someone who regularly performs the national anthem (currently singing for basketball/ baseball/ other sporting events at my college), it’s always funny to see someone just fail so hard.

The pitfall that this guy obviously falls into is that he’s focusing on doing a bunch of excessive embellishments and licks, which can really distract you from delivering the meaning of the text. Could’ve been a bad case of nerves. But really, how the fuck do you forget the words to that song? You probably hear it about a billion times throughout your life if you’re an American. As I said before, some people don’t consider or analyze the poetry of the song, but focus on putting as many unnecessary twists and cadenzas as they can, like they’re Mariah Carey.

Not really my cup of tea. She has a very nasal tone, and holy god- when she goes for high notes, that whole “nose whistle” thing she does is just grating on my ears. IDK, to each their own.
