I think Sparks' camp made it up last week
when there were rumors that Mercer was missing. Sadly the Athletic Commission came along and killed the fight last night.

Great shoop job there
For a couple seconds I was thinking that had to be the most random fight poster I’d even seen…then I noticed the tweet about Mercer pulling out of the fight.
"I want to tell me what you see, let's go ahead and see by in the fight, what you saw, in the ring." - Tito Ortiz
Actually, the poster did all the work
Since I already had the ER in the name it was a quick copy and paste, but thanks

Man, Rivera Cullum was a HELL of a fight. Absolute war.
Rivera is a kid out of the New Breed amateur circuit, so I’m stoked to see him get this win.
I love
shitty cards.

then you probably didn't love this.
it wasn’t a shitty card at all
always though Abel Cullum was a great prospect
I hope we see him once in the WEC he always puts on exciting fights (remember DREAM FW GP)

KOTC’s people put together great cards in every aspect for a smaller promotion if given money. They did when they were with EXC, they were before with EXC, they do now. Most of their generic shows are terrible, but if its something they’re openly trying to market, they don’t mess around. And the matchmaking they do is a lot, lot better than scrub promotions like MFC or even the Strikeforce of yore.

![Shane Del Rosario (9-0) vs. Ron Sparks (5-0) set for Strikeforce: Los Angeles:
"I got another opponent now. I think his name is Ron Sparks. [He's] not as well-known, but still another important fight for me, so I will train hard and get ready to go June 16."
Will this fight be on the televised portion of the card?
"I'm hoping so, man. I've been waiting to fight since November. I would have rather fought on the Challengers Series had I known this guy [Bobby Lashley] was going to pull out. I hope I don't have to wait this whole time and be on the undercard with no TV time."
