UFC Fight Night 22 Results: Jim Miller Decisions Gleison Tibau
It didn't take long to get to the mat, but it didn't take long to get back to the feet. It was a close fight throughout.
Off of a leg kick, Gleison Tibau took Miller to the mat., but could do nothing with it. Soon after getting back to the feet, a stiff jab wobbled Tibau, but the Brazilian quickly got the New Jersey native to the mat. Again, however, Miller's preparation allowed him to use a guillotine attempt to stand. Miller also went for his own takedown, but could get nowhere. However, with no set-up, Miller was able to land several jabs and leads on the Brazilian, displaying a much more precise striking game than he's displayed in previous fights.
The second round started with a monster left hand from Miller that stumbled Tibau badly. Miller followed up with several takedown attempts, but couldn't make it happen. Great timing on a takedown by Tibau, but Miller was able to get back with a high guard attack. Another well-timed takedown by Tibau works after the fighters traded punches for a couple of minutes. The round ended with Tibau in Miller's guard.
Third round opens with a left hand from Tibau, but doesn't rock Miller. After a minute and a half into the round, Miller began to attack with more frequency. Halfway through Tibau attempted a knee tap, but was completely stuffed. With two minutes left, Miller attempted a takedown against the fence, but could get nowhere. Miller shot with 45 seconds left, but was stopped by Tibau. A final attempt from Tibau is thrown by by Miller.
The judges scored this fight 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 for Jim Miller.

good win for miller dont know why
rogan tried to make it seem close tibau didnt do anything with the takedowns and just got picked apart on the feet
I think the tone of Rogan’s talk was that he thought Miller was winning, but you never know how judges will see those takedowns (particularly in Texas.) I know I had Miller winning by his dominance in the standing to rock Tibau a bunch of times, against some takedowns that led to nothing, but I was still nervous about how it would go until I heard the 30-27 scores.

I kinda get where Rogan was coming from but realistically, the fight was mostly all on the feet and won by Miller who rocked Tibau several times. It was a good and tough fight but Miller was the clear winner and now hopefully he’ll get one of the big boys next how about him vs. Kenflo?.

I'm glad the judges got it right
Rogan was making me nervous with all his talk of “stealing the round.” I don’t know if he does that to build suspense, or if he’s preparing fans for the fact that judges can be fickle, or if he really thinks that a takedown can negate the rest of the round.
I consider myself a softcore fan.
