UFC Fight Night 22 Results: Ross Pearson Dropped and Finished by Cole Miller

The night of upsets continue. Hold on to your prognosticating hats.
The fighters opened by exchanging leg kicks through the first minute, Pearson going both outside and inside. After a minute and a half, Miller shot in on a single on Pearson. After a wild exchange, Miller pulled guard but Pearson wasn't biting. Pearson continued in the middle of the round throwing leg kicks and counter striking the limited stand-up of Miller. While Miller didn't work the jab, he did try to use the side kick to keep Pearson away.
Pearson started the round immediately going back to the leg kicks. Miller eventually shot in only to pull guard only to whizzer out in an attempt to sweep him, but couldn't make it happen. However, a right hand from Miller drops Pearson. A follow-up from Miller finishes the job as Miller jumps into the a rear naked choke submission.

Looked like he just had the gable grip and pulled it tight, didn’t even put the other hand behind Pearson’s back.
Oh no, it's still a legit choke
Hughes used it on Trigg in the second fight. It’s just a little harder to pull off, it’s less leverage and more muscle
Damn, I kinda liked Pearson too.
And why no love for the Brits? I mean period. Not everyone is Michael Bisping.

I still don’t know what the hell happened one minute Pearson is doing great on his feet the next he’s rocked and tapping. Sucks doubly because this will lead to more from Cole Miller in the future, but Ross will be back stronger next time.

more from Cole Miller? So what, another fighter who talks the talk and walks the walk? is that why you dont like him? He is a great fighter and with a more improving standup he can go far in the lightweight division. I hate sour dicks like you who don’t like the trash talk. Cole Miller helps this sport cause he says whats on his mind and he knows how to fight. Its not like he just talks and doesnt back it up. Damn, since when have us fans become so sensitive to trash talk, get over it, its part of the sport.
