Keith Jardine: "I’m Just Going to Keep Fighting and See What Happens"
"I just had a pretty slow start. I never make excuses for my fights, but coming out before this fight I had the worst migraine in the world. It took me two rounds to get through that, everything he was touching me with hurt. I was in a bad situation, so I gritted it out and in the third round my head kind of cleared up and things worked out well in that round, but I guess not well enough to win the fight."

On the bright side..
At least he hasn’t gotten his lights put out in the past two losses.

Damn, that’s so many losses in a row.

I never make excuses,
but I totally have one you guys. Now, I’m not saying it really hurt my performance because that’d be an excuse but you should all know I had something wrong with me that contributed to my loss.

He wasn't doing bad against Hamill or Quinton
And he beat the hell out of Prangley in that last round (albeit after he got dropped twice in the preceding rounds). I don’t think he’s done like so many seem to think, he just has a terrible style that has stopped working for him. Not sure exactly what he can do to fix it, but Jackson’s whole philosophy of ‘Let it be’ certainly isn’t helping matters.

Did anyone else notice that when he walked to the cage, at the point where officials check you and add vaseline etc, one of the referees tried to begin pulling his shirt off for him. Jardine looked at him really pissed for a second or two, and then pushed him away pretty hard. Luckily it cooled down right away and they proceeded as usual.. it was kind of strange, I thought then that he didn’t exactly seem to be in perfect harmony going in there. I guess migraine definitely could have contributed to that situation.

Actually, yeah it did. Jardine should consider himself lucky that he got away with that, it did not look good.

Me: "I wonder how Jardine faced his family that night, knowing he lost a make or break fight for his career?"
The Girlfriend: “It was easy, he’s done it three times already so he’s probably an old hat at it”
Man she can be cold sometimes. And poor Keith. At one time, he was the guy who beat Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell. Now he’s fighting for table scraps in the minor leagues.

Jardine's awkward style hurts him more than it helps him.
I think fighters have figured him out. That herky-jerky style leaves him open for a lot of shots. Just because you move like a drunk with turrets syndrome, doesn’t mean people can’t hit you. That, and I don’t think he can take a punch the way he used to. I like Jardine, but it’s been pretty much downhill ever since Silva basically rape choked him.
I love it when fighters say, “Not to make an excuse…” then proceed to make an excuse.
You gotta pay the troll toll, to get into this boy's soul.
I lose so much respect for the fighters when I say that...
Every loss for 5 in a row, Jardine has had an excuse. I’d much rather have a fighter run out of the ring like Forrest, then admit that he just got his ass kicked, with no excuses.
I wonder if when a fighter can’t admit that he was beaten fair and square, and has to come up with an excuse or a reason why, if they actually believe it?
If Jardine goes into his next fight thinking that “If I didn’t have a migrane, I would have won that fight” and doesn’t do something different, he’s gonna lose again…and again….. and again…
As well regarded as Jackson is...
As well regarded as Jackson is, I think it’s maybe time for Keith to find another camp. For a while at least.
Keith is a guy who at least for me is quite entertaining to watch and he has beat some very notable fighters. Has he just become to comfortable at Jackson’s? Has he just lost that drive he had before? We all know that he can compete with the best and I personally would really like to see it again. It’s a shame to see a fighter of his caliber dropping losses like this.
Whatever the reason, I hope to see him get on the other side of that streak and stay there. He looked like he could be a legit contender and I really enjoy his awkward style and it sucks to see what happened with it all.
Keith needs to take some time off maybe work on cutting down to MW, he needs a drastic change to make because what he’s doing now isn’t working.
