Are Pro Wrestling Promotions Trying To Get Some Crossover Ratings From MMA?
They may be looking to get some crossover ratings from mixed martial arts fans, by bringing Tim Sylvia in.

If anything, he'll do some one-shots for Inoki.
Similar to Barnett, Tank, Ogawa, and Sapp. You haven’t lived till you see Barnett vs Tank.
My avatar has Bas Rutten and Terry Funk in it...therefore it's the manliest avatar on SB Nation.
As Rob said, This will be probably for Inoki Genome over in Japan.
You most likely won’t see this promoted in N.American Sports Entertainment.
Though, I wouldn’t put it past TNA to beg the shit out of Spike to cross promote with UFC. Even if it isn’t in a “competitive” capacity.

Yep, they also sent Angle to UFC 81 and had Tito Ortiz in on numerous times

Trigg and Ortiz were not signed with Zuffa during those times

And to be honest, Angle was really annoying as a deck mooch.

Pro wrestling has always aped what was popular and they always try
crossover stuff. They have brought in boxers, sumo, martial artists, etc. If you watch some stuff from the 70s in the US they used to bring in “kung fu wrestlers” from asia to bring in martial arts movies fans when those were getting big.
