UFC Fight Night 22 Preview: Charles Oliveira Talks Efrain Escudero - "It’s Time To Go To War"
"I feel (Efrain Escudero) is a really tough dude, who fights with a lot of heart. But I think Darren (Elkins) is more technical than he is."
"(I compete in Jiu-jitsu tounaments to) keep up my rhythm and gas, since I have to do a number of matches on the same day and against better and better opponents."
"(My UFC win) was a marvelous sensation and the result of lots of dedication in training."
"In these days leading up to the fight I’ll wrap up my training with Macaco (Jorge Patino) at the academy in Texas. I trained hard with my family here at Bronx’s Gold Team."
"Cosmo Alexandre helped me a lot and now it’s time to go to war."

I buy the Oliveira hype and say he beats Efrain in the 2nd round.

Escudero is very underated, though he’s starting to develop some bad habit which I hope will be broken when he fights Oliveira.

He’s starting to develop an ego back in the TUF house he was quite and confident now he’s starting to sound like he believe his own buzz. Not to mention he’s starting to develop in to the TUF version of Tyson Griffin wanting to just go out and knock people out and not being all around fighter he was back in the house.

Let's not get carried away
Oliveira looked good in debut, but let’s take it for what it was worth. Elkins was an unproven commodity who had won his only UFC fight because Bang Ludwig tore up his leg mid-fight. Let’s not forget that da Bronx got body slammed before he locked in the triangle on a potentially sub-par UFC type of fighter. I admit he looked good, but he also looked very undersized for a LW. He looked about Aldo’s size while fighting in the UFC at 155. A deep division means he will eventually run into a larger, wrestler type that will nullify his ground game. Not to be a hater, but let’s see him get past a decent wrestler/striker like Escudero before we anoint him the next coming. Let’s not forget how Werdum started out in UFC.

I want the guy to do good, but I believe he has a little to much hype
