Bellator Fighting Championships has signed former Arizona State University wrestling standout Eric Larkin (2-0), the promotion announced today. In 2003, Larkin captured both the 149-pound NCAA Division I wresting championship and the prestigious Dan Hodge Trophy for college wrestler of the year. He currently trains at the Lion's Den in Scottsdale, Arizona, alongside Bellator Season 2 welterweight tournament winner Ben Askren (himself a two-time Hodge Trophy recipient). According to a press release, Larkin plans to debut for Bellator at 155 pounds, but will eventually move to 145 for the promotion's next featherweight tournament.
