Bellator Fighting Championships has signed former Arizona State University wrestling standout Eric Larkin (2-0), the promotion announced today. In 2003, Larkin captured both the 149-pound NCAA Division I wresting championship and the prestigious Dan Hodge Trophy for college wrestler of the year. He currently trains at the Lion's Den in Scottsdale, Arizona, alongside Bellator Season 2 welterweight tournament winner Ben Askren (himself a two-time Hodge Trophy recipient). According to a press release, Larkin plans to debut for Bellator at 155 pounds, but will eventually move to 145 for the promotion's next featherweight tournament. Above, Larkin's most recent fight from May 15th at Optimum Fighting Championship in Mitchell, South Dakota.
