it might not be as bad as ufc 108-110, but yeah it’s definitely going to be the first ppv disappointment for the ufc after this long streak. mir actually sells more than one would think.

Too bad Lytle has to lose to Serra in his home town.

I like both guys, but Matt’s gonna be 2-0 vs. Lights Out.

IDK

Serra hasn’t been real active lately, while Lytle has looked really sharp.

Guillard vs Stephens is going to be fireworks!

Stephens has heavy hands, but his striking defense is average at best. Guillard looks like he FINALLY has the complete game and— I think— is ready to fight top 5 talent.

I look forward to this matchup and the Bader matchup.

Mir vs Nog?

… Meh?

^ This x This = This squared!!

I hope he continues his run. He is one of my favorite fighters. He has looked sharp lately, even in his last loss was working Diaz before he got sloppy.

This x2^

I think Guillard is finally understanding the importance of preparation and caoching. i think for SO LONG he relied upon his athleticism and explosiveness and that only got him “so far”.

Hopefully, he mows through Stephens and we can stack him up against… ummm… hmmm?

Ken Flo?

Melvin could give Edgar problems...

Then again if Penn loses to Edgar again, Guillard could give Penn problems too. He has quicks comparable to Edgar’s and he hits a lot harder. I like his chances against the loser of that fight better than the loser of Maynard / Florian regadless of who it is.

Melvin has historically been his own worst enemy but he is improving. The move to Jackson’s helped him get his head screwed on right.

My God, this is the worst trailer ever. Who thought up these graphics? Can’t they just hire NickTheFace and be done with it?

Can’t see how this card doesn’t deliver. None of these guys like to stall or wait for something to happen.

It’s an awesome card. Probably doesn’t do gangbuster numbers, but it’ll be super entertaining nonetheless.

Outside of the main event and Serra vs Lytle, most of the other fights on the televised/PPV card have divisional relevance. Sean Sherk has been out of action for a long time, and in his previous fights, he has not utilized his wrestling. It is imperative for Sherk to use his wrestling in order to win on Dunham because of the reach advantage that Dunham has. I am actually becoming a fan of Mitrione, and I want to see him beat Beltran.

Nogueira / Mir does matter.

The UFC could still make a lot of money off of Lesnar / Mir 3. If Lesnar gets past Cain and JDS he will be facing either Carwin or Mir in a rematch unless they both shit the bed between then and now.

Aside from the main event, it’s a great card, but there’s no way I can drop $55 on it after spending $110 in August.

Mark Hunt AND Sean McCorkle...

making their UFC debuts on the same card AGAINST EACH OTHER?!?!?! MY GOD!!!!!!!!

Last few cards have me spoiled

I’m sure the fights will be great, but I’m not sure if I can see buying the PPV.

Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.

Are these Matrix-style graphics new?

BTW, I really hope Big Nog doesn’t try that Superman punch in the fight.

by MMABookworm on Aug 9, 2010 3:08 PM EDT reply actions

Dont know if Nog got it in him to beat Frank Mir well c

Bader, Chris Lytle and Melvin Guillard go home winners i say.
