What could have been -- Here are the scorecards for the UFC 117 main event between Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva. Lots of 10-8's were scored in favor of the challenger.

Jon Anik - Compustrike: Silva was hit w/ 289 strikes after being hit w/ 208 strikes COMBINED in his first 11 fights. Sonnen did everything but finish.

You know as an mma fan i’ve had alot of highs and lows if cheered and i’ve booed tons of fights and fighters. But I have to admit i’ve never been more crushed after tonight, I felt it I just knew there was no doubt that Sonnen was going to do it. And for things to go the way they did and end they way it did, truly as much as I love mma and everything it involves right now I kinda hate it.

Ya I called a Sonnen victory but a moral victory feels utterly empty. At least the Silva delusion might tone down a bit. Not gonna read any MMA blogs for a while…need a break lol.
