Too bad there are no prelims, this is the most stupidly stacked card of the year.

here’s to hoping we get see some of these fights on the ppv

It makes no sense to not air them on Spike
especially with the UFC seemingly always worried about a Silva headlined card. Prelims on Spike = a few more PPV buys, I assume. What does UFC lose by not airing them on Spike?
They have a deal with Spike to only air so many in a year
and they just try to pace themselves out. I’m sure they have some reasoning for which cards get it and which don’t. I’m not sure what it is, though.
yeah i wondered if there was a contract issue. thanks for clearing it up
I also wonder if the next contract will allow for more. Surely prelims on good cards are some of the best ratings Spike can generate on a Saturday night, so I don’t see why both parties wouldn’t want to air more of them
I'm sure we will eventually get to the point
where every show has prelims aired, if Spike is willing to pony up.
If the deal is even remotely equitable, I don't see why they wouldn't...
you can’t tell me anything else in their line up gets as good of ratings on a Saturday night.
I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.
Whatever happens tonight
Anderson Silva is still the greatest MMA fighter I have ever seen.

Yup
But man, are there some awesome up-and-comers. This next wave of NCAA Div I All-Stars is going to bring the noise.
There are only two fighters in the world who might be able to defeat Jon Jones: Ken and Ryu.
Agreed
And even if Chael wins tonight he’ll get the title back. Whether that’s from Chael, Vitor, Toquinho or GSP has yet to be seen.

Oh dammit Saunders is going to lose this
That would be 3 losses out of 4.
Nick Garcia is the Brian Russell of MLS but 10 times worse.
I think if he loses three in a row he'll be temporarily banished
To regional shows until he learns how to fight wrestlers.
Nick Garcia is the Brian Russell of MLS but 10 times worse.
I doubt it...
one of those losses is as a last minute replacement, and I mean Last Minute, to fight Fitch. I think they will give him just a bit more rope before dropping him.
I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.
Hopefully this ends the incredible overrating of Saunders.

That is a massive man, his frame is huge. Good for Struve, especially if he really was sick in the back. He’s got potential to be one of the UFC’s home grown talent. When he starts filling out some more, he’s going to be scary.

Does anyone know Struve’s plan for putting on weight? I was looklng for him to come into this fight with a couple extra pounds on him from his last fight but I don’t think he did.
So I was just wondering if Struve is trying hard to put on weight and just can’t seem to pack it on or if he is comfortable where he is at right now and is just hoping to fill out as he gets a bit older?
Just BE.
Not a clue. I’m guessing he eats a steady diet of protein, with a build like his he’s probably got a fast as hell metabolism, gonna be a couple years before he puts on muscle with age as that slows down. If he wanted to do it now he’d have to hook up with the right people, but it might be tough for him, and thats why he’s built like he is at the moment.
