Damn. I dunno. Decent card. Not much relevance. Not that I’m a stickler for relevance, but for 30 bucks maybe I’ll hold off on this one.

Yah, I always gotta pull for Burentello. He and the late great Evan Tanner graduated from my High School.

Cards like these make me eager to see the actual thread discussion
WARGODZ made me a follower of all non-Zuffa, Strikeforce, and Bellator event discussion threads here.
Nick Garcia is the Brian Russell of MLS but 10 times worse.
Yeah I do a serious amount of lurking during non major fight cards. lol I usually enjoy peoples conversation and jokes more than the actual play by play

I hope there’s a raffle….

I also recall every injured fighter who

pretty cool card
tickets to the event range from $35.00 ~ $295.00 rightnow you can get two tickets in the first row seats 7 and 8 for 295 a pop section D (via ticketmaster) thats pretty expensive for this card but so be it… I’m hoping Jens can come out with a W on the 14th

$30 to see Tim Sylvia, Terry Martin, Jason Lambert AND Thales Leites in the same night?
LET ME GET MY WALLET.
LOL Sums it up right there!
This looks like a bigger fraud than the Impact deal anyhow. I doubt they have the money to pay all of these fighters as I doubt there will be very good promotion for the event.
Furthermore, the title fights are absurd and not only for its lopsidedness. Honestly, would Thales Leites ever defend that title when he wouldn’t even commit to fighting for the MFC belt (which I believe carries more weight than whatever this is) against more serious opposition?
I’m not being cheap, but these fights carry zero allure or relevence, other than former-UFC fighters hoping to claw their way back in.

If he can be competitive at this level, more power to him
He obviously can’t cut it in the WEC but as long as his career path more resembles Dan Severn than Ken Shamrock, I’ve got no problem with him making a living fighting in smaller promotions.
I think Ray Mercer killed any chance of Tim Sylvia ever getting a big paycheck again. I hate the guy, but I can’t help but kind of feel sorry for him.

Pretty sure his last fight was 50k. Which is more than what Carwin made on paper for the fight with Lesnar. Poor Tim…

That’s still half or even a third of what he used to make. Plus after he pays his training partners, gym, etc., 50K isn’t a whole lot.

This was my point…if being washed up means getting easy fights for more money than most fighters earn, then sign me up!! Im not arguing the fact the the Mercer fight bankrupted his value. Just stating he is still getting good money for an MMA fighter.

I find it interesting that Horwich is fighting for a MW title, seeing how he has lost 5 of his last 6 fights….

Glad to see Jens still fighting top-flight fighters...
Jens is an awesome fighter and person but really? The only guy they could put him against was someone with only a handful of fights and a 4-1 record?
