UFC 118 Results: Nate Diaz Creams Marcus Davis
Nate Diaz beat Marcus Davis bloody then choked him out in the third round of their UFC 118.
They put two guys known for bringing it on the feet opened the UFC 118 pay per view. They immediately delivered.
The two southpaws, one a former pro boxer and the other a devoted practiioner of the sweet science as applied to MMA mixed it up on the feet from the get go.
Diaz taunted Davis early only to get dropped by a hard left from Davis. But Diaz survived and went on to dominate the rest of the round, bloodying Davis badly. Diaz' output increased throughout the round and by the end Davis was cut very badly over his right eye.
The ring side doctor gave Davis a thorough investigation between rounts, but to the relief of the fans and fighters let the action continue.
Round two saw more of the same at first, but then Diaz forced the fight to the cage. But they were quickly trading punches in ring center with Daiz again having the advantage in quantity of shots landed. But now both men were bleeding. Diaz continued to batter and bash Davis' face, only taking him down at the very end of the round. After the second round, Davis looked awful with more cuts and huge swelling around his right eye.
In the third round Diaz continued the assault. Davis bobbed and weaved but Diaz caught him again and again. He finally took a diminished Davis to the ground. From there he choked him out with a front guillotine.

Nate Diaz matched up with a wrestler for his next bout at ww. He seems much stronger at 170 so perhaps he could defend takedowns better at ww. Great showing
