Apparently James Toney agreed to a fight with no catchweight. Usually this doesn't mean anything, but with James it sure does. He has a habit of coming in heavy to any fight that ever means anything. In this case, no fight has probably meant less to James. So let's all begin to take a moment to think about this -
-His greatest success was as a middleweight boxer (160lbs)
-He won a title at cruiserweight (190lbs)
-In the biggest heavyweight title fight of his career, he weighed 237lbs
-He weighed 217.5 in his last boxing match
Now, he's gonna be several inches shorter than Couture when they meet up Saturday night, so he may to use the excuse of being heavy to offset the size difference and not get pushed around. On the other hand, if he actually trained, he may come in at a lighter weight than he often did as a boxer.
Go ahead and take your crack at it today - In just a few days, we'll see just how on point the BE fanbase is on guessing where Toney's head was coming in.
