What happened to the 8-man tournament? How come it fell through?
Could’ve done a lot for SF despite Diaz and Miller bein suspended.

You gonna ask him about how he felt about that? Cause that ref during the Noons-Gurgel fight didn’t deliver a Jon McCarthy shoulder tackle to stop the fight.
can you ask him why he felt it necessary to test everyone on the heavy artillery card on their own, but this time around they didn’t ask the commission to test anyone?
also, breen mentioned it last night on twitter, but it seemed like they spent more time staring at lashley’s cut in between the first 2 rounds than they did having a cutman try to stop the cut. Are me and breen insane in thinking this? Did they bring cutmen? Did they do a good job there? I just watched again and for the first 30 seconds after the round ends there is just someone wiping blood off his face and shining a light on it. Then it cuts to replay, and when it comes back from replay someone else is wiping off his face, but the cutman really should have been on that thing as soon as the round ended.
Ask him about the oxygen.

Normally a fighter should be given 5minutes to recover on a punch after the bell. Then the lack of a stoppage then the illegal knee. Would like to hear what he says.

Can you ask Coker about two things?
1) When, if ever, will Pat Miletich be bumped up to commentate on the main Strikeforce card?
2) Fans have noticed some distinct production differences that separate Strikeforce from the UFC. What does Scott think his company could do better production-wise that they haven’t already implemented?

1. By far the biggest criticism directed at Strikeforce is the announcing. Has he had any discussions with Showtime about changing the team and getting rid of the hot female reporter interviews?
2. Has he discussed airing the prelims (at least the SF fighter ones) with Showtime. The Daniel Cormier blowout would have been great to have seen on Showtime.
3. What’s going on with the rumors of Paul Heymans and you?
4. Any chance we get to see Christian Grosinsky on a future Challenger card?

Can you please ask him if he could start marketing both of the fighters in a fight instead of only the ones that are favored? It seems to me that is very detrimental to the product on nights like last night when all but one of the fighters featured in the promotional picture (whatever it is called) lose.

Luke, I know Japanese MMA is a ratings buzz kill for you and you have a butt load of stuff to talk about today, but if you could find a minute to give your thoughts on the clear cut Fight of The Year between Jorge Santiago and Kazuo Misaski that went down last night in Sengoku, I’d apprechiate it.

I don’t think the promoted this fight poorly, i think it was a bad choice of fight to promote. Griggs is (apparently) a tough guy with poor takedown defense who won’t give up very easily. If Lashley was going to fight someone with Griggs’ skillset, it should have been someone of a higher caliber/better known.
It was a poor cost-benefit analysis
The benefit of Lashley winning was far outweighed by him losing.

The knee is illegal whether it lands or not. That fight is a NC. The fact that the late punch in the 1st wasn’t given 5 minutes is ridiculous but the real travesty is that illegal knee. I don’t care if you’re late to stop the fight, it’s illegal.

it’s either the standard 1 minute rest period or the ref has to make a decision between a NC or a DQ. It sucks that it isn’t a 5 minute recovery period, but technically neither is an eye poke mid round.

It was a late punch
It was thrown after the bell and wasn’t part of an exchange. What Gurgel was throwning was part of an exchange. Noons threw a late punch.

And either way, even if it is late, it’s not something you get 5 minutes for. Like Brent said, even an eye poke isn’t a 5 minute offense, although it’s frequently misinterpreted by refs. I’m pretty sure a groin strike is the only 5 minute offense according to the rules.

I just had to type it because luke is unable to do it at the time, it’s all good. People need to stop the lashley lesnar comparisons. Lesnar is better at everything.
lashley is a good wrestler
but he is not evolving like lesnar. lashley didnt attempt to throw one punch in the stand up. at least lesnar tries to throw a punch here and there. if lashley wants to stay in SF, he has to start evolving or he will be back with wwe or tna soon

I commented allot on the same thread re: Joe Stevenson
And got warned/ comments removed. Mostly because there was a obvious Zuffa shill commenting on every left leaning comment on the subject and A) he wasn’t getting heat and B) I don’t think he even got banned. But Kid should have known that would spill over into a national health care debate.
