Jussier "Formiga" da Silva (7-0), widely considered the top 125-pound fighter in MMA, has signed a four-fight deal with the California-based Tachi Palace Fights promotion. Sherdog's Jordan Breen first broke the news on Thursday afternoon. Needless to say, this is great news both for Tachi Palace -- which has long promoted the sub-155 weight classes, dating back to its previous incarnation as World Extreme Cagefighting -- and the Brazilian, who resorted to soliciting donations from fans on the internet in order to cover travel fees for his last match.
