As a Dutchman
I would like to see him in the UFC (again), but I doubt if he is able to compete at topcontender level. As far as my limited knowledge goes, his takedown-defense is not that good and he hasn’t got the speed nor the groundgame that is needed to scare the likes of Lesnar, Velasquez or Carwin. Fedor had no trouble getting him to and keeping him on the ground for thirty minutes at Pride 21. Although that is a long time ago I don’t believe Schilt has improved that much on his groudgame.
He could be a great test for Jon Jones though (if he decides to move up), and I would like to see him against Junior dos Santos in a stand-up match.
If he signs
Stefan Struve, Pat Barry and Cheick Kongo come to mind as possible debut fights.

Please do it Semmy
If only to stick it in K-1’s ass for once again trying to tilt the playing field against you.

"How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?"
Cheik better try and take him to the ground.
Semmy will make him look amateur standup IMO. But at the same time I think Schilt is a little more adept on the ground than we give him credit for.
Schilt would pick him apart standing

Schilt would murder him in the stand-up game. People forget… Schilt has been straight up hurting people like crazy in K-1, and actually getting some big KO’s.

Yes, that must happen!

I’m pretty sure Schilt would just submit him. He’s not retarded on the ground.

Schilt vs. Carwin in Germany

I agree 100%
The UFC should go after Schilt, along with any other European names for it’s upcoming event in Germany.

I saw this and it made me go six to midnight
And at least Semmy wouldn’t be a fish out of water once he got put on his back, unlike Kongo. I would like to see Semmy Schilt vs. Mike “Rene” Russow.

Damn.....
He would fit in so nicely with the current UFC roster… Compelling fights all over the place.
He is a hell of a striker, that's for sure.
Doesn’t he have a lot of MMA fights under his belt? I can’t remember but I thought he was a King of Pancrese.
Yep. According to Wiki, he is 4 for 5 out of his last 5 fight in MMA and has won his last 6 K-1 fights to some of the top fighters in the world. I would love to see him in the UFC.
I enjoyed you answering yourself

Apparently he was in Pancrase before he ever competed in kickboxing. I’m kind of fuzzy on early MMA, but that’s what wikipedia says.
