WTF?
Was this mocked up and accidentally posted early?
"Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe."
- Frank Zappa
These usually pop-up a few hours before the event.
Which will lead to the comedy of people posting predictions and then people going all “WTF” after the event is over.

great fights as usual
tonight was no different
"How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?"
That flying omoplata that Cruz used to win was sick. Plus, a 140-catchweight fight between him and Aldo? Sick.

Its going to be a toss up between Cruz's flying omoplata and Roller's gogoplata for submission of the night.

Salaries are interesting
I briefly trained at the gym Javier Vazquez train(ed) BJJ at, and while he’s making 8k/8k to fight in WEC, the dude was doing really well for himself. He lived in a nice area, had a nice car, wore nice clothes. It was apparent that the guy was making decent money.
Puts some perspective on some of these fight purses we see on here.
It's a joke..
Purely speculation, but it’s a joke to me that the champ (Cruz) is making less to show than the challenger. My reasoning is that Benavidez makes more from being a part of Team Alpha Male (Urijah’s camp, WEC’s posterboy)
HUH?
why would Joe be getting paid more than Dominic…? that’s a good agent for ya…and a good healthy dose of favoritism to alpha-male.
the heck
i think i made more money when i was a starving college boy
To the above three posters: It’s called signing a contract and being locked in to that set amount per fight. When his contract is up, he will get paid more. Its that simple. Why don’t people understand this? This is Cruz’s 6th fight in the WEC, and 4 or 6 fights seems to be the amount of fights they usually sign contracts for. This could be his last fight on his contract. Look out of Cruz’s next fight’s salary.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that
Roller is making more than the champ?
Epic KO, epic fight, meh fight, epic finish to great fight, and sloppy but really close fight
WEC 50 was very good but I liked 49 and 48 better.
Nick Garcia is the Brian Russell of MLS but 10 times worse.
I'll probably have to watch Benavidez/Cruz again even though I didn't enjoy it
But I think takedowns have WAY too much weight on judge’s scorecards.

huh
Well what do you know about that?

FOTN: Jorgensen/Pickett
SOTN: Pettis vs. Roller
KOTN: Jewtuszko vs. Njokuani

People need to stop feeling sorry for Cruz he’s doing just fine, I swear we need a disclamer everytime reported salaries come out because for the most part they are uselss.
