Ariel Helwani and Paul Heyman have an absolutely fascinating discussion on MMA Fighting's "MMA Hour" ranging from MMA, Brock Lesnar, WWE, Pro Wrestling, and Heyman's involvement and connection to MMA dating back to SEG owned UFC.
A Must see.

Amazing interview.
This man has been around the block and knows his shit inside and out. It is good that MMA has fans/businessmen like this who love our sport. Coker needs to hire him ASAP and turn the reigns over.
What a professional bullshitter

Could well be
Anyone from the carnie world of pro wrestling has to be scrutinised. Fact and fiction are always blurred together with a lot of these guys. Are they being honest with you, are are you a mark being worked?
don’t think too much.

Yes, fact and fiction are blurred together in wrestling – that’s the whole point!
The interview was a bit self-serving but it’s obvious that Heyman knows what he’s talking about business-wise.

Bang on about Gus Johnson
I fucking hate that guy. I can’t understand why Showtime keeps him, as he is God awful at post-fight interviews.
I was so pissed when during the brawl he said “these things happen in MMA”. When the fuck did they happen before? Do you watch NBA? NHL? MLB? It happens in all sports, and probably least in MMA.
I think the thing that makes Ariel so great...
beyond is willingness to ask anyone anything, is his utter lack of a “radio voice”. It somehow makes him very accessible as a stand in for the everyman…if I can be allowed to over analyze Ariel’s greatness.
I like Fedor, it’s just his fans that are intolerable...and his management.
