A lot of people seem to be giving Marcus Davis this fight as an easy victory and Im not so sure about that. I want Davis to win by spectacular fashion but I do not see it happening that easy. Diaz is a great submission specialist, Strikeforce brawler and posses the one thing that Marcus Davis cant seem to overcome. A reach Advantage...
Look at Davis' last 3 losses. They are all guys that had a much bigger reach advantage over him. Mike Swick, Dan Hardy, and Ben Saunders. Davis, being a former boxer, should have the movement, shoulder rolls, stand up, and more to accomplish this... but yet he seems to struggle with taller fighters. Take the Ben Saunders fight. Once Ben picked him apart he moved in and destroyed Davis with his brutal knees to earn the KO.

Now Diaz managed to get a TKO in his last fight for the first time since 2006. It is very clear that Diaz needs to stick with his jab and stay outside Davis' reach. Can he do that with Davis' crisp ducking and weaving? If he can this will make "The Irish Hand Grenade" shoot in for a take down which is where Diaz wants to be. I can easily see Diaz winning this fight by submission on his back or on top. Either way if this fight goes to the ground it is clear Diaz has the advantage.

Personally Im rooting for Davis since I'm from Boston, but I also think Davis is going to be the best Davis we have ever seen on August 28th. I cant wait.
So readers.... will Diaz submit Davis? Or will Davis be able to get in close and get the KO?
