We didn't take the weekend off after one of the most spectacular MMA events of the year. Instead, we were breaking down every nuance of UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar's monumental come from behind-win over contender Shane Carwin. Here's what happened segment by segment:
In segment one, we opened with a description of what happened, talked about high-level takeaways from the event and tried to contextualize Lesnar's dramatic win.
We brought in Sherdog.com's Jordan Breen in segment two. Breen talked about what this win unique, argued in support of Lesnar's use of technique and much more.
Segment three we replayed our interview with UFC President Dana White. White talks his "zero" interest in Fedor, the overrating of Alistair Overeem and calls M-1 "losers".
We get back to the callers in segment four. I also make the case that number of shots Lesnar took is not evidence that the fight should not be stopped by saying "it's not like a pitch count" threshold.
Lastly, we take more calls and hear from Brock Lesnar doubters who believe the champion was "exposed".
We are on Facebook, I'm on Twitter, James Kimball is on Twitter, Othello is on Twitter and the show's podcasts can all be found hhere. Email me here. Thanks for the support. SPREAD THE WORD.
