What a great night of fights. I think that should have taken all dispute and doubt from the “best heavyweight” in the world debate. Carwin looked like a child, getting put on his back that many times. I’m a little bit dissapointed in Akiyama, and I think that Kendall Grove could have looked a lot better. That has a lot more to do with Reljic’s unknown well-roundedness than anything. I’m glad I bought the card.

Did you see the size of that chicken?

So I missed the Reljic decision, whatever.

If Carwin looked like a child what did Brock look like in that first round? O.o

I almost commented on it when you first put it up…but didn’t want to kill it in case you hit the nail on the head.

Wait...

you mean that one time Carwin was on his back? The only other time Brock tried a takedown (that comes to mind) was in the first where Carwin used a whizzer to get right back up.

Best ever?

I don’t know, it was great no doubt… but best ever?

Personally my favorite was UFC 92 due to all the finishes… even though Wand and Nogueira were on the wrong side of those finishes.

92’s the only one I even have competing with it (and the WEC PPV, actually), but it’s tainted by a Mir win.

Yeah I was screaming the same thing. The one place he couldn’t go in this fight is on his back underneath Brock. I was pumped when he defended the first TD with the whizzer, but once you go to the ground with Brock you’re begging for trouble, even if you’re on top. Carwin just got the adrenaline flood hitting and couldn’t relax and think it through.
