3135-horn

Fresh off a submission victory over Brian Warren last weekend in his 110th pro MMA fight, uber-veteran Jeremy Horn, announced via Facebook today that he'll face season 2 middleweight finalist, Bryan "The Beast" Baker, at a Bellator event on September 29th, followed by an October 29th fight with Jake Rosholt in King of the Cage.

Awesome.

I love how he’s still game for this – he could retire or fight scrubs, but he keeps finding solid opponents and fighting them.

He can’t retire, the White Belt still has so much BJJ to learn before then!

If you don't like the effect, don't produce the cause.

How old is Horn?

This is like his 300th fight. Anybody besides Shonie Carter have a record even close to this guy?

Yea but horn has continued fighting top competition in his career. I got nothing against fulton but there is the 15 yo story from years back.

15 year old

Go to mma database and start clicking on fulton fights in iowa. You’ll see alot of guys with 0-1 records. That loss being to travis fulton. Alot of times they would pull travis opponents out of the crowd. At one fight event one of the spectators agreed to fight him. When they brought him back stage to fill out a waiver form and asked him for his license. They then discovered his opponent was 15. A really big 15 year old.

I gotcha, just trying to make a joke based on the lazy abbreviation. That’s pretty shitty though, guessing the fight didn’t go through? A veteran like him shouldn’t be fighting nobodies anyway.. Props to Jeremy Horn for keeping it real.

I know

Dont get me wrong. It is incredible how travis has fought so much, but alot of his opponents are defined as “cans”. That term gets tossed around way too much these days. I got nothing against travis, but horn has w/o a doubt the best record of any journeyman against solid/top competition.

And no the fight didnt happen. You had to be atleast 18 to fight.

Travis actually does fight alot of solid competition (for example he just for Ricco) but he just doesn’t win the fights lol

Can you name any more than 20 guys on Fulton's list?

Or is it padded with names no one knows?

Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

Travis Wiuff (61-13), who also happens to be in Horn’s Elite camp…

Funny story, I was supposed to fight Horn last weekend. WA SAC wouldn’t approve the matchup (3-1, I get it).

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. It would have been an honor to fight him.

I hope Horn donates his body to science after his death.

It would be interesting to see how his brain withstood all the years of fighting.

My theory, Horn developed the “Homer Simpson” thick skull.

This was the fight from last weekend. Around the 11:30 mark. Horn actually buckles from the first right to his forehead.
