A Mortal Kombat-like Mirror Match in MMA as Houston Alexander takes on Remeau Sokoudjou

According to Junkie, former UFC fighters Remeau Sokoudjou and Houston Alexander will square off September 11th at Shark Fights 13 in Amarillo, Texas. This seems like an MMA version of Mortal Kombat's mirror match in which you would face the same character that you were playing with. Sokoudjou and Alexander remind me of each other.

  • Both are Black fighters
  • Both men are very athletic (I guess that was redundant)
  • Both men have cardio problems
  • Both men scored two devastating KOs in a row shocking the world
  • Both men are nicknamed some variation of the Assassin
  • Both men lost to an undefeated fighter
  • Both men are very deep into hiphop and rap
  • Both men have similar records (Alexander 10-6, Remeau 9-6)
  • Both men garnered a huge following, very quickly which deflated when they both lost

That said, I am actually pretty excited by this fight as I am a fan of both fighters and wish them the best of luck. Hopefully, "it' gone be some Black on Black" misdemeanors.
