Today on MMA Nation on 106.7 The Fan: AOL FanHouse's A.J. Perez, Eric "Butterbean" Esch, UFC 117 Preview, Jake Shields to UFC Talk
Live streaming video by Ustream
Remember, we are now on: Sundays 9 to 11pm EST.
Today on MMA Nation on 106.7 The Fan we'll talk to AOL FanHouse's national reporter A.J. Perez about his new article "Death in the Cage: The Michael Kirkham Story". We'll talk to Perez about what he discovered about Michael Kirkhan's background, the medical explanation for his death, what this means for MMA and more.
We'll also catch up with Eric "Butterbean" Esch as the makings of Moosin 2 appear to be in the works. We'll try to get a firmer sense of what's next, why he slammed Mariusz Pudzianowski in a press release and more.
And, of course, we are taking YOUR CALLS throughout the entire show. So much to talk about, so get your thoughts in early and often.
"MMA Nation" will air tonight 9:00pm EST to 11:00pm EST on 106.7 The Fan. To listen live over the Internet, go to The Fan's website and click "Listen Live".
I'm also on Twitter: @mmanation.
AS A NEW FEATURE: We'll stream the show live over UStream.tv. Here's my channel. I'll embed the live stream player in this post when the show begins. If you want to ask a question for us to answer on air, leave a question in the comments section. We'll get to all of them.
"MMA Nation" is also available by podcast on iTunes. For now, iTunes is disabled, but the show will be posted on the station's website soon afterward. I'll be sure to put a post up when they're ready to go. And when we're back on iTunes, I'll put up a link to that as well.

Talk to you then.

I would love to hear Butterbean explain why he dogged out Pudz. Is it because he wants to build some controversy surrounding the his events to get some media attention? The last show was good, what are the plans to make the next show as good or better? Will we see him fighting on one of these shows at some point?
Forget it Donny, you're out of your element.

Even with the somewhat unpolished commentary and announcing/hype man ( i’m being kind) I felt like Impact FC put on a solid show. I thought the decision for the Kang/Filho fight was spot on. Even though it was called a draw, Kang,Filho and Impact FC walked away winners in this instance.
My questions is how can MMA cultivate judges that have a more nuanced impression of what they are seeing in a fight?

Couldn’t agree more. 29-29 was an appropriate scorecard for that fight, since that third round was SO close. Whoever scored that 30-27 Kang needs to be kicked in the nuts though.

I know for some a draw is a letdown, but instead of “rewarding” the crowd with a forced decision why not reward the evenly matched efforts of the fighters. I am in no way saying it would have been a bad call to give the win to either fighter, but yeah the 30-27 was bunk for sure.

If Fedor is “the best ever” then it shouldn’t matter. Book that fight.

Actually, Henderson’s is a great Greco Roman guy.
"Caol Uno was like Mutoh. He developed into a star overseas and then returned to his home country a much bigger deal. Dokojanuse Mishima is like Kobashi because they both do moonsaults. Don Frye is like Stan Hansen because they are both fat dumb rednecks with mustaches." - Jonathan Snowden

I know what Luke was saying, Murilo Bustamante and Ninja Rua took Henderson down at ease. But Henderson’s main call before MMA was not Freestyle like Luke said, it was Greco Roman.

Luke
I just listened to last week’s show. Your job is mma analyst where you report on quality mma event and mma news. As a professional you shouldn’t let your bias and personal feelings overshadow the true happenings of the sport. If you don’t like Dream or Sengoku don’t put the organizations down with your insults. The Dream 15 event was quality in technique and entertainment as most of them are.
You don’t listen to talk radio much I take it
