Wushu Expert, and current URCC Welterweight Champ, Eduard Folayang (8-1), Won the Lightweight Super-Fight Title against the previously undefeated Bao She Ri Gu Leng on ESPN Martial Combat, held in Singapore.
"I had a tough fight tonight, he was very quick. My last fight (video) was only a month ago so my conditioning is still good, but I still have a lot of room for improvement. Every round I persisted to win, and in the fourth round I knew I would win it. I was more prepared in this fight because I was able to execute my technique well. I am proud that so many Filipino people came to see me fight and I would like to thank them all."

Congrats Folayang!
Sounds like it was a good fight! Any vids online?
Facts don't come with points of view.

Bao She Ri Gu Leng?
I’m sorry but that’s just funny.
Is there a video of this fight? I want to see Wushu in action in MMA.
Hard core MMA fan since UFC 99
none yet I think...
but the video of his last ESPN Martial Combat fight (a month ago) is linked in the post. That was against Egon Racz, a Muay Thai Champ.

But there wasn't really any Wushu to speak of outside of of his post-fight celebration.
Don't believe a word I say, I don't train BJJ.

yeah, well most of the fight was on the ground, so you're not going to see any Wushu there. haha.
But that’s the good thing I think. Instead of avoiding the ground like the plague (coughCungLecough), they choose to use their wrestling (which is a huge part of San Da/Wushu also.)
anyway, you want some fancy kicks? here’s an old highlight reel from Team Lakay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l_VIi4mv5M&feature=player_embedded

Just pronounced it with a straight face
Yay mild familiarity with Mandarin. Cantonese is my primary dialect when speaking Chinese, but I’m a native English speaker
I don’t know much at all about Chinese MMA scene. Would the UFC consider picking up Eduard Folayang some day?
with the hype that Anton is giving Folayang, I think Dana will be forced to do so.

Because it's worked so well for Logan, right?

Is it just me..
Or do these chinese mma fighters make japanese fighters look weak and small?
I know I'm nitpicking, but
Bao is Chinese/Mongolian, Eduard is Filipino. :)
