Patrick is gonna take this
We talk about Danzig and Grove possibly being the first TUF Winners (Lutter excluded) to be cut from the UFC, but something about Wilks tells me he’s going to be on that same list.
The Dos Equis guy wishes he was Brock Lesnar.
I definitely agree that i think Patrick will take this fight. I haven’t really been that impressed with Wilks since the TUF Finale.
Come to think of it we've never had a truly successful TUF welterweight winner
Stevenson and Danzig won as welterweights but are now lightweights, and Wilks has not impressed in either fight since winning the show.

I'll pretty much always exclude Season 4
I’m talking about fighters who had to go through TUF to get a UFC contract.

That was the comeback though
I don’t think that’s really the same thing.

Maybe I’m being pedantic here, but when it’s “Steve Cantwell vs. TBA” can we really say a fight has been added? Cantwell has agreed to fight; until both he and his opponent sign the match contracts, that fight is hypothetical. And he doesn’t even have an opponent yet.
Yeah, I am being pedantic. Sorry.

TBA hasn't signed yet. He's weighing this offer and the next Lashley fight.

I hope he signs the contract. He has plenty of time till October to lose some of the muscle he put on to face Lashley
"Ten more seconds is all I ever ask. That's the good thing I learned about being KO'd twice. You don't see it coming -it's like death- you don't plan for it so don't wait for it. So many people are afraid of getting Ko'd that their hands stay home, but not me. I got to go out there and shoot the lights out and fall down" Jens Pulver
Yes, it takes two fighters to make a "fight"
but a majority of the rumored fights for 120 didn’t have signed contracts when they were reported…hell, the event hasn’t even been made official yet. Cantwell will be on the card, and I thought this was as good a place as any, to report that.
Go Claude Patrick
Nice to see him back in the cage, I think he should take this one.
Anybody ever find out what was wrong with Cantwell?

It was magically cured by the absence of an athletic commission.

From what I've seen
The UFC seems to pretty diligent when working in the absence of an AC. They were the ones who busted Leben for juicing, were they not?

Isn’t that close to what I said? ;)

James Wilks?
Didn’t he get annihilated in his last bout? If so, wouldn’t loss here put him on the chopping block?

That's right!
I was thinking Matt Brown. Right?

Yep. It was a pretty good fight actually
But once Brown mounted him that was it.

![Always honest, Forrest Griffin tells Sherdog he's anticipating a difficult weight cut and conditioning issues for his upcoming fight in Rio against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua:
"I definitely put on more weight than I would like," Griffin told Sherdog.com. "I need to cut weight and it won’t be easy. I’ll have a lot of problems until the fight in Brazil, but I’ve gotta do it. I don’t want to fight at heavyweight, so I gotta cut that f--king weight."
"He’s one of the best fighters ever," Griffin said of his opponent, who he submitted in September 2007. "He has a blitz style. He goes forward. He’s dangerous. I gotta make him move backward and let’s see what happens. I want to go hard for all 15 minutes of the fight."
"It’s difficult to adjust yourself [to another country]," said Griffin. "There’s the jetlag thing, and it’s difficult to make weight since Brazil doesn’t have the distilled water I use in the U.S. and the food I need to eat. It’s always difficult to change your routine when you go to another country. I feel stupid because I can’t communicate with people from the hotels and can’t even say how I want my eggs. It’s clearly a pain in the ass."
