"The Reem": Alistair Overeem Documentary - Episode 4 - Back Home
Alistair returns to Holland after his American adventure, and it's business as usual.[UPDATE] - Assuming Fedor Emelianenko wins on June 26th, a showdown between Alistair Overeem and Fedor could be on pay-per-view according to mmaweekly.com:
"Following this fight now we have one more fight on the cards," M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan said. "That's the future for now, there's one more fight following the June 26 fight and that fight is more likely than not on pay-per-view."HT: thereem.com, CVD

The reem = great
I think this documentary style is great, considering it is a high production vlog. Either way, this will build up his American fan base, but I can see vlogs like this being broadcast on network television as well. I’m a knowledgeable fan, and even these vlogs are making me appreciate Overeem more and more with each episode.
I just hope we get to see him actually eat horse meat…….though I know that wouldn’t go over well on American soil :P
I'm from Canada, and they think I'm slow eh!
He actually cooks in one of the K-1 videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkg5Sx-o1m8 but I think it’s cow not horse.
Really enjoying these short documentaries. You could definitely put the four together and make a decent television show.
Awesome to hear he wants to fight so much in 2010. That’s unusual for a guy at that level.

Awesome
Any one, by chance, know the name of the song that plays for about the first minute? I always forget
ALLSTAR
Really coming around to like Allstar more and more…been watching him since late 90’s
Really?
Assuming Fedor Emelianenko wins on June 26th, a showdown between Alistair Overeem and Fedor could be on pay-per-view
Scott Coker is doing exactly what he said last year? The schedules are pretty much as expected and his superfight is shaping up for the PPV debut that he said Strikeforce was ramping up to? It’s almost like… like he’s promoting fights exactly how he said he would. Clearly this means that Strikeforce is doomed and will be bankrupt in a matter of hours.
"Someone is WRONG on the internet. What do you want me to do? LEAVE? Then they'll keep being wrong!"
-Randall Munroe
...At least until the UFC counter-programs with a live show
Then they’re probably in trouble.
"It's fourth and fifteen and you're looking at a full-court press." - Lt. Frank Drebin, Police Squad
"Clearly this means that Strikeforce is doomed and will be bankrupt in a matter of hours."
It may not mean that they will be doomed and bankrupt within hours IF it is a success.
I have a feeling that the UFC will bring in a very high profile fighter for Spike like they did with Anderson Silva.
Everyone mocks Coker but I'll give him this
he has actually seen a lot of his promises through:
1) Overeem will defend the belt – check
2) Dream and Strikeforce will co-promote – check
3) Fedor will fight again (after some delay) – check
4) Aoki will fight Melendez in the US – check
5) Strikeforce will hold 18-20 shows in the 2010 fiscal year – in the first four months they’re on pace with 6 shows held or booked.
Now let’s see if they can get that Fedor/Overeem fight, a Japanese event, and the women’s tournaments accomplished before March of 2011.
Quick question! Who would you rather have plugging Burger King if it was your company, Alistair or Big Country?
If you don't like the effect, don't produce the cause.

Hope they actually plan on advertising the PPV.
If the PPV is subject to the usual Showtime promotional bungling I see the buys being dismal.

Allistair playing BF2! Love it! I got his GT now!
These videos are great. I like how they come in snippets, too.
Slow Cooking! MMM-MMM GOOD!
"I Wanna Thank Joe Rogan!" - BJ Penn
Can someone please tell me the name of the song

You have to beat the legend, in order to become the LEGEND

Damn right..
Overeem is awesome. I don’t know if there has been announcement made earlier, but Siyar Bahadarudza said he has signed with SF which is just a very good pickup. Siyar is definetely a underrated talent and look foward to seeing him in SF.
this guy could be huge in the UFC
hes very easy to like and also has a bit of an attitude to go along with his exciting fighting style, throw in the fact that hes built like a superhero and american fans are more or less fed up with steroid news and he has the potential to be a gigantic star
We have a saying back home that if your coming on, COME ON!!!!
These documentaries have made me a fan. I didn’t know much about him besides what I’ve seen on here, but after watching these and his Rogers fight, I definately like the guy.

"When i get in there, in his face ,pressin the action,I'm RUFF NECKIN'EM,I'm throwin him around,I'm punchin him,hes punchin me, I'm eatin his shots and I'm Blastin him back in the face he's not goin to be able to handle it ." - Chris Leben on how his fight with Anderson Silva is gonna go.
