Do we really need Bonnar-Soszynski on the main card?

Exactly what i was thinking. In addition to the fact that i dont think Bonnar is a quality LHW, its a fight that we have already seen and know how its going to go and the only reason we are seeing it again is because of a bad stoppage that wouldnt have changed the result.

I certainly don't think so..

We’ve already seen it not long ago, I’d rather see Soszynsky against someone else and Bonnar not at all (or on undercard). I think Bonnar himself is the only one excited for this rematch, I honestly don’t think most fans care about this one at all. I know I don’t anyway.

What a weak card...

Minus the main event, Silva/Sexy and Sotiropolous/Pellegrino, I couldn’t care less about these fights. UFC 117 is where it’s at, that one is STACKED.

You’ve got three main card fights that you’re legitimately interested in and two more that should at least be entertaining if nothing else and that’s a weak card?

This probably going to be the most exciting(or shortest) main card this year.

Batman vs Sot- Jiu-Jitsu wizardry

Sos vs Bonnar- desperation from both guys= excitement

Lytle vs Brown- no explanation needed

Akiyayma vs Silva- The sexiness and the insanity in the same cage? Mind F***

Lesnar vs Carwin- Two of the most skilled heavyweights battling it out?

That promo is how to do it

They’re able to introduce Carwin as a credible opponent with only about 10 seconds of description (they didn’t even need the ‘Joe Rogan casually commenting on what a badass some guy is’ thing they often do with a lesser-known headliner), whereas Strikeforce would only mention Lesnar and let his opponent be a fuzzy face on the poster, and/or make some half-hearted mention that it was a title fight.

It’s times like these where you get the feeling that if the UFC and Strikeforce suddenly decided to swap management & employees, where Coker & Hershman are in charge of the UFC and all its resources, and Dana & Lorenzo are in charge of Strikeforce, that it would only take a couple of years before Strikeforce equalled or eclipsed the UFC as the dominant MMA brand.
