Man
Ken Shamrock looks really really really bad.
uuuh yeah I write for the Cincinnati Enquirer. Thanks?
sometimes they come back
he looks like the ghost of a greaser killed in a knife fight in the fifties who’s come back to haunt us all. straight out of a stephen king novel.

This guy needs a reality check
He really thinks he started the UFC and this sport. Yes, he was a HUGE part of getting it started, but he was just a part of the whole.
Also, every person I know who has met him has told me he was a serious jerk.
He really thinks he can still fight, despite not putting on a good performance since 2004.
If he ever fought Frank he would come in on a Shamrock rage and Frank would embarrass him.
He’s gonna get knocked out cold against Rizzo if the fight happens.
Ken is a pioneer and a legend of the sport and deservedly so, but he just needs to take a step back and realize his time in the sun is over.
Ken has never been invited to a Fan Expo? There had only been one before this.
And when did he fight (and lose to) Tank?
I was wondering the same thing when he said Tank ? I think Tank was sapose to be added into the list of fighters from his time he has never fought ? Atleast I really hope so or dementia is setting in a little early ? I myself would still like to see him fight fighters from his time period like a Tank. Coleman, A rematch with Don Frye, etc I not going to lie I think Frank would kill him butI would watch the fight.
where and to who?
neither guy is a big draw anymore. this is a match purely for the hardcores. it’s also a match that the hardcores know is pointless and meaningless. so who is this big payday coming from? people who know enough about mma to know who the shamrocks are and that they don’t like each other, but out of the loop enough to know that both shamrocks are bottom of the barrel has-beens? that’s a small demographic.
This fight would have been sick ten years ago now...not so much.

I feel silly even posting on this "story"...
but given that Frank has completely ignored a ground game plan in several years, I actually think this is one fight that Ken could actually lay and pray to victory…

Sence I started it all = Ken saying that has to be one of the funniest dam lines that I’ve ever heard. Right up there with Al Gore inventing the internet
If he reads this..
He’ll come and beat us into a living death

More like “Ken Shamrock-inspired head shaking in disbelief and disappointment”.

Well, they own him now from what I’ve heard, so he probably got carted in with all the other props.

If they do fight I sure hop it isn’t televised…
I have no interest in watching either guy.
You could always you know, not watch. Just because a fight is televised, do you have to automatically watch it? I for one would enjoy watching them fight, who cares they are both past their primes, so are a lot of fighters who are currently competing.

The guys got issues.
That goes without saying. Merely the fact that he was placed with Bob Shamrock in his youth tells you that he has a troubled history,
But there is some validity to what he is saying. Ken really is one of the major reasons the sport i.e. the UFC, became so big. Here are Zuffa’s numbers for their first 7 shows:
UFC 33 75,000
UFC 34 60,000
UFC 35 35,000
UFC 36 55,000
UFC 37 50,000
UFC 38 45,000
UFC 39 45,000
Now here are the next 12, starting with the Ken’s return fight for the UFC:
UFC 40 150,000
UFC 41 60,000
UFC 42 35,000
UFC 43 49,000
UFC 44 94,000
UFC 45 40,000
UFC 46 77,000
UFC 47 104,000
UFC 48 110,000
UFC 49 80,000
UFC 50 40,000
UFC 51 105,000
Not only did Tito headline the two biggest cards of the pre-TUF era (UFC 40 and 48) but he directly led to the ppv average rising from 52,000 per event to 79,000 per event. And Shamrock’s drawing power was contagious. By beating Shamrock, Tito become (almost) as big as draw as Shamrock, And by beating Tito, Chuck and Randy also became draws. It was as if the UFC fans back then would only accept you as legit if you proved your superiority to “The World’s Most Dangerous Man”.
So without Ken, Zuffa might never had done the numbers to survive, let alone land a reality show on Spike, And without Ken headlining the two biggest UFC spike broadcasts of that era, as well as starring on the most popular season of The Ultimate Fighter, and having a rematch with Tito on the record selling UFC 61, the UFC might never had experienced the massive growth it did from 2005-2006.
The man is delusional, but Zuffa and us fans do owe Ken Shamrock a debt of gratitude.

I consider it paid by having watched this video...
Dude. It's Anderson Silva.
If he gives a damn he will end Sonnen’s night by either sub or KO.

Why did Shamrock SHOUT that entire segment? Shamrock vs Abbott would have been the biggest fight in MMA in 1996, when they were all set to get it on before Ken pulled out of the ‘’Ultimate Ultimate’’ that they were both competing in, claiming a broken hand. 14 years and numerous KO losses later, there might not be such a market for it lol!!
Thought I was the only one
who noticed he went Billy Mays on us. Turn off your caps lock, Ken.

It’s a lav mike. To us, the background sounds quiet because the mic is so close to his chest and throat. But to his ears, he is shouting over a convention full of fans and noise.
Yeah. I met Ken at that booth a few minutes before this. It was loud as hell in there. The sound of 10,000 people milling around.

My first thought was:
They let Ken Shamrock into the Fan Expo?
