Much cooler than wall-o-lights and old-nu metal
It was nowhere near as artistic as the DREAM videos (the tap dancer one from DREAM.13 was awesome and the 14 one with that Bjork track was pretty crazy))
But you have to admit it was much slicker than the UFC’s promo videos. It’s just too bad their whole presentation and commentary team doesn’t match that level of professionalism.
I didn't like anything about that video...

I’ve shown it to the people producing the Hollywood Bowl opening gala for what is possible for in-stadium videos. They were (rightfully) blown away.
I thought it was cool, would be a good video to float out there. But personally I liked the strikeforce piece for something quick, making the point and getting you hyped for the fight.
The dream piece didn’t get my hyped, just made me think; well that was neat.

Strikeforce/Showtime’s production pales in comparison to the UFC. The one exception being their intro videos. They are amazing.

Very cool intro, they should have had this playing as the ad for the last couple weeks too. I really dig some of Strikeforce’s production pieces vs. what feels a bit stale in the UFC’s cookie cutter pieces now.
agreed. But the UFC uses the cookie-cutter approach
because it has worked very well for them.

and I don’t want them to make the same mistake as every other company does with stuff like that; letting it get stale and changing it up too late
Remember when they updated the Gladiator intro? It went from bad to worse.
That is one of the main things I wish they’d get rid of.
But, just like how they still use the classice music during the tale of the tape, they will probably use it forever.
I was about to say the same thing.
That Gladiator intro is crap. haha. but at least there are a few things they’ve changed recently like the gold banner with UFC XXX on the intro.
