Strikeforce and Jake Shields "far apart" on contract negotiations, ready to move on, also calls out Bloodyelbow.com

Interesting and forthright interview with Scott Coker about Strikeforce on Josh Gross' podcast.  Here is the snippet about Jake Shields

Josh Gross - "has Strikeforce made a contract offer to Jake Shields?"

Scott Coker - "Here is what I can tell you, is, we have done the numbers dance, and what that means is that there is a number that they think their value is, and we have a number we felt where we wanted to be in.  The numbers are a lot farther apart.  We're ready to move on, and hold the tournament, and find a tournament champion to be the next 185 champion..."

"At this point, are we very hopeful?  I would say no, it is what it is, we inherited that contract from Pro-Elite, it's a one-time situation, and there won't be one guy that makes or breaks our league".

Coker also called Bloodyknees.com a gossip site.  I'm assuming he's referring to this site.  Josh Gross chuckled.

Gross also tried REAL hard to get Coker to say something bad about Dana White.  Coker never took the bait.  Interesting interview.
