First Screenshots of "Supremacy MMA" Video Game

PrintThis is that third 3D MMA game in development for current-gen systems, being developed by Kung Fu Factory and published by 505 Games. It will supposedly involve some Mortal Kombat-style action to set it apart from the current MMA games, including the ability to inflict gruesome injuries and snap necks. A release date has not yet been set.

Looks awful, really, really awful. I couldn’t imagine it would be this insulting to the sport nor this poor in graphic execution. Wow.
Good call on not showing the cock-fighting going on outside the cage
Otherwise, people would realize that this game is going to exploit people’s worst fears and prejudices against MMA and perpetuate the stereotype that all fighters are glorified bar brawlers.

Are you directing that at me? Because the image with the cockfighting going on cageside was just a piece of concept art.
Well, if it’s part of a cutaway scene/entrance cinematic, I can’t imagine that it would ever make it into a collection of live-action screenshots – you probably can’t see it once the fight starts. So more at them, since you’re just showing live action here, but people need to know about that “concept” piece (which, I hope we agree, I hope doesn’t make it into the game). I’m just kind of horrified by this game, MMA isn’t exactly ready for a NFL Blitz (featuring Lawrence Taylor and steroids).
Speaking of which, will the fighters be able to roid up after getting arrested in a bar fight? Will you have to cycle off before fight-time? Does Hepatitis B makes you fall down a rank?

This could truly be one of the worst games ever made. I can’t wait to see how this turns out. They need to get Wes Sims on the cover.

if this is true...
MMA fans need to give up any support of Wild Bill’s. Any legitimate fight promotion that would associate with a game that sells violent injuries and death as the goal of MMA does not need to make a dime from fans of the sport.

I’ve never hoped that a company crippling amount of money is sunk into a game before seeing it not ever hit store shelves.
