WEC Fight Results: The Numbers (2008-2010)
Note: I goofed on some of the formatting so forgive me please.
Over the past few months I've done some fight card statistics for the UFC. Why not give it a shot with the WEC? This one is slightly more tricky and requires a longer timespan. The tables below are separated by year from 2008 to 2010.

After WEC 39 the welterweight division went the way of the middleweight and light-heavyweight divisions and their roster moved to the UFC.
* Fredson Paixao vs. Cole Province was originally ruled a split decision win for Province before he failed his post-fight drug test. It was then changed to an NC.

In total we've had 53 TKOs/KOs (28.64%), 52 submissions (28.1%), 75 decisions (40.54%), 3 draws (1.6%), 1 DQ (0.54%), and 1 no contest (0.54%).
Ever since the larger weight classes were dissolved into the UFC the knockouts have gone down significantly, but submissions and decisions in particular have gone up. I suppose it's natural for the lighter weight classes to lack serious KO power. Not everyone can be Jose Aldo. But I guarantee everyone here would take Garcia vs. Jung 3 round classic (sloppy as it was) over a run-of-the-mill KO.

I'm not as obsessed with the finish that most are.
The best fights in UFC history, at least to me, have been decisions.
Great stuff!
With pie charts too!
The Sub numbers are crazy this year, considering that there had been more than 3 only twice in the past two years.
Use all ten points.
