If this is indeed true

I’m a Mayhem fan but he is looking at another 209 beatdown, this time at the hands of four fewer people.

Strikeforce needs to hold an Openweight GP so they can get all this *catchweight shit out of the way and start building fighters.

*I’m assuming

Why would it be a catchweight?

Both fighters have fought at WW and MW.

It's Strikeforce

With the Babalu/Lawler thing I’m assuming. I only remember Diaz fighting at LW and WW, he fought Shamrock @ 179 and Smith @ 180 both of those being catchweights.

Also

I remember Mayhem saying he wouldn’t fight at WW again after the GSP loss.

You dislike catchweights where two fighters agree upon a weight to be, so your solution is too let any fighter weigh whatever they like… I’m pretty sure that makes no sense whatsoever.

At least a OWGP would give a reason for not fighting in their particular weight class. I’m glad you took time out to add your opinion, as useless as it is.

Oh hell yeah. Fuck em up Nick.

you needed to add a “you crazy” on the end.

mayhem has only fought 1 time at welterweight against gsp and got seriously handled

and he even admitted that the weight cut messed him up.. i think it would be a catchweight prolly 180

by nickaz on Jun 15, 2010 5:57 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah it was the weight cut. LOL.

by K1Noob on Jun 15, 2010 10:21 PM EDT up reply actions

Usually when a fighter isn’t accustomed to fighting at a certain weight the cut will affect him/her. He didn’t say the reason he lost was the cut…
