not sure if it’s officla yet but i read anothony pettis vs shane roller is on the main card as well.
Thats going to be a sick fight.
They actually ran a local news story on Pettis last night which was rather interesting. He’s got a fairly interesting back story and is very well spoken which is not something i expected.
Ive also got to respect any guy that comes out to corner a guy (Pat Barry last weekend) wearing a brewers hat rather than the matching tapout hats that the rest of the corner had on.
I'm more excited about 49 myself
but Cruz/Benavidez will be exciting

Maybe its me but
I’m not really looking forward to this main event. It just seems like they didn’t have any worthwhile depth so they put this right back out of desperation. But it hasn’t really been long enough since the last fight for anything to happen and suggest that Benavidez can change the outcome. I think this could be one of those fights that looked just the same as the 1st, and most people get confused between the 2 when they remember them.
I think Joseph is too short(especially his arms)to deal with the length, handspeed, footwork and world class timing of Cruz. And he is too small to really be able to make a good enough shoot to not just get stuffed and smacked for every effort.
I think this is one of those cases that Cruz has Benavidez number so good that if they fight 100 times Cruz would take 98 and maybe lose 2 for some fluke reasons such as a cut or broken limb. And I think they needed to percolate this matchup for awhile to build it up and possibly get a trilogy out of it.
It just seems like they didn’t have any worthwhile depth so they put this right back out of desperation.
I think it’s more of Faber entering BW, and Benavidez coming from a big win over Torres, that made them decide to eliminate a potential issue with teammates both being in title contention than it being a depth issue. Cause Jorgeson is also a good choice for the title shot.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen...
a WEC card with Faber that he isn’t even headlining. Never thought I would see the day.

Like WEC 38 and 46?
If Derek Jeter clubbed a baby seal on earth day while wearing a mink coat and crocodile skin boots while burning tires on an iceberg, the reaction would be "Its OK Derek, you’re a Yankee." -First mammal to wear pants
yeah...
just like that. But different.
