EA Sports MMA: Fedor Emelianenko and Randy Couture Share Cover, Hitting Stores October 19th

Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko will share the cover-star duties.
Moore says each of the fighters in the game will have their fighting styles authentically recreated.
Additionally, the game will compose a diverse array of rule sets and rings from every corner of the globe, emphasizing the worldwide appeal of mixed martial arts.
Moore also talks about the game's Live Broadcast feature, which lets players make their own hype videos to trash talk opponents and compete for prizes in front of an audience, all the while real commentators deliver play-by-play.
Moore says EA will have "promoters" scouting matches online to find people for the Live Broadcast feature.

All the gamers MMA fan that didn’t buy ufc 2010 will probably buy this. All the EA bots will probably buy it too. Assuming it’s any good.

I don’t know about all of the EA bots. I used to be one until I played Dragon Age. Dragon age needed to be released 2 years from when they did. They rushed the shit out of that.
Besides EA’s biggest games are Madden, NCAA Football, and Fifa. I don’t know how much that crowd carries over to an MMA game. Without the UFC roster I think they fail.
I get more rec's then a Toyota!
Battlefield, Dead Space, Need for Speed, Mass Effect and medal of honor are pretty huge franchises. Let’s not sit here and pretend they don’t make some of the best games in the industry. EA Sports isn’t really the same as the rest of EA’s portfolio.

ok if they put fedor on nobodys gonna buy it
well nobodys gonna buy it anyway but still do u think casual UFC fans who have no idea about anything other than brock lesnar are gonna buy a game with a bald pudgy russian on the cover?
a randy fedor mix cover is the best idea similar to fight night round 4s ali tyson cover
this games gonna be a massive failure however if ufc 2010 isnt selling as high as expected with brock on the cover and the whole ufc brand behind it how good is a game that has absolutely 0 fighters with any drawing power in it gonna do?

Fedor did a huge number on CBS and when you compare that to the last CBS Strikeforce I’m starting to think Fedor is known.
you fail
to realize how important game reviews are now. If the game releases and does well there will be a ton of purchases made purely off of recommendation. Of course there will be the people that will try to get their moms to buy it because they see a recognizable face, but the purchases made by reviews alone will outweigh the other.
If this is true, what happened to Undisputed 2010 it has received and average of 85/100, yet is still lacking in sales.
red dead redemption happened
it got a 95/100 and gamers wallets have been tight recently
also undisputed has had very poor word of mouth, the online flaws have made many people not get the game

There is supposed to be a patch fixing the online flaws by the end of the month...
It also fixes some of the easy takedowns and flaws with comp ai
Thanks for the link to the stream! Got in just in time to see the part about EA MMA, although it was very short the game does look good. Seeing how THQ has been disappointing with UFC 2009 & 2010, I’m having my hopes up EA will do better. I have a feeling MMA might be too complex to translate well into a video game, but I sure hope I’m wrong. Time will tell I guess.
