Ken Shamrock admits to using steroids during his career:
Asked on HDNet's Fighting Words with Mike Straka whether he used steroids, Shamrock answered, "Absolutely."

Shamrock then went on to say there's a certain degree of hypocrisy among fans, both in MMA and in other sports, who cheer steroid users while they're competing only to play dumb when steroid users get caught.

"They want home runs, baby," Shamrock said. "They want people jacking them out of the park. But then when they find out about it they want to stick their heads in the sand and say, 'How bad, that was stupid, you're crazy, don't let him in the hall of fame.' It's like let's point the finger. ... Nobody wants to take responsibility, but everyone wants to see it."

Although anabolic steroids are illegal, Shamrock said acquiring them is easy for a professional athlete.

"It's like going to the grocery store," Shamrock said. "It's that easy. It's that simple."

No surprise here, either.

Athletes using steroids is not gonna surprise me anymore.

To reach the level some athletes are at, you have to be on the juice. Unless, you are a freak of nature.

I don’t condone steroids but Ken is right, fans of every sport put the athletes on this high pedestal. They expect them to be perfect role models when they are just people, with the same flaws as any of us.

Ken isn’t right at all and his argument is a complete fallacy and a failure to understand responsibility that is connected to actions.
I was with my nephew on the metro today and he got his hand caught in the door as it opened because he was fooling around. He desperately tried to explain to me that it was the metro’s fault. That he was just standing there when bla bla bla. It’s way easier when it’s someone else’s fault. It’s fun to blame another.
He’s sitting there watching people cheering on steroid users and so he thinks “It’s the fault of the people cheering”. Apparently he hasn’t considered the fact that the people cheering have absolutely no idea they’re cheering for a user. In fact, most of them assume the people they’re cheering for are clean. Ken is more delusional than my nephew, and my nephew is only 6 years old.

I would be heart broken if GSP ever comes up dirty.

I don’t think its in his personality to cheat though.
