Who’s in that middle row there? I think I can make out Overeem, Mousasi, and Manhoef.

this is crap
What’s so good about this poster?
You guys are just loving the Japanese Kool Aid way too much.
I’m not wild about it, but I’ll take something subtle and semi-artistic like this over the usual generic, industrial-looking crap any day.

Lots of white space
Unlike typical American design that tries to fill every space.
It’s just different than what American fans (and UFC fans, and American UFC fans) are used to seeing. And to some, different = better.
When you watch the Orioles every night, a beer after dinner turns into a six pack WAY too many times. Stacey
Alright
I can see that.
If this was like 80 feet tall on a building somewhere that would be pretty cool to see from the ground.
It’s an effective use of space, as opposed to the lack of any aesthetic consideration in most MMA design seen in the united states. It’s not about drinking the kool-aid (and come on, get your facts straight, the people at jonestown drank poison laced FLAVOR-AID) it’s about being able to recognize good graphic design. I’m going to go ahead and make the personal attack that if you think the aesthetic of the UFC is good, you have poor taste.
The ufc keeps people away with their production aesthetic, I know several who agree with me, it’s quite frankly embarrassing and looks like the worst of 1999. Lest we forget, Limp bizkit was SUPPOSED to be playing prior to ufc 100….

Some of the regular UFC posters are pretty decent but for the most part their posters follow the same pattern. Many local MMA event posters look too cluttered.
This poster is simple and subtle, it looks like some one put some thought into the design. I personally appreciate some of the small graphic devices used to tell the story of the main event.
Compared to some of the older Pride posters, this isn’t incredibly great but still pretty fresh and so clean.

"I'm not afraid to say it: I'm not a brawler, and I'm not a coward. I'm not going to trade punch one-for-one with a guy. I'm going to hit the guy and not get hit. That's a smart way to fight." - GSP

I view the view promo posters for Japanese MMA almost like works of art.
The UFC’s kind of remind me of a monster -truck rally.

Masato, the K-1 fighter just retired. He fought Kawajiri last year. Maybe that’s who you’re thinking of?
