Glad I’m not the only one who finds Chael’s talk contrived and uninteresting.

Add me to the list. Chael is trying so hard to get his 15 minutes of fame. He’ll be lucky to get 5 minutes in the cage.

I believe you are in the minority...
as you can tell my the majority of the post’s below, ppl are loving this shit.

I’m just not a fan of any trash talk really. It’s not that I’m hating on Chael. I’ve always preferred to let my fists do my talking.

I wasnt trying to give you a hard time. I actually feel like Chael is trying to be original with his trash talking but it is becoming odd and forced instead. I really enjoyed it in the beginning but it is just getting weird to me now.

I love trash talk
But Chael’s is the equivalent of white people trying to rap

i only watch trueblood because it’s a different take on the beat to death vampire story. other than that, its horrendous.
I'm old school hating Lesnar, I've been hating Lesnar since '08

i actually found this
to be pretty funny. his typical dry humor doesn’t amuse me.
As far as rascism goes, as someone who’s been called a moon pricket, puerto rican porch monkey ect, I wasn’t offended in the least.
Someone actually called you a puerto rican porch monkey? That’s friggin harsh dude, hopefully you smashed him for that.
"50% of this sport is 90% mental" - Tim Sylvia
haha that is harsh
and moon cricket . I thought that particular slur died out decades ago. That’s some old school racism rat ’chere. From the deep South?
Hey Pete
R.I.P.
Yeah, he was a verrrrrrrry old
guy. he caught me “playing” with his grand daughter. I couldn’t be too mad at him, I was more impressed he added the Puerto Rican to “porch monkey”.
as someone who’s been called a moon pricket cricket.

And I thought
UK politicians were retarded. Who the fuck is going to vote for someone who threatens an opponent with crucifixion?
And I have a feeling, post-fight, what we’ll remember most is Anderson smashing Chael’s face in the first round.

I’m a huge Chael fan, but even I think he is getting precariously close to stepping over a line with this one.
Sure, it's racially and religiously tinged
but mostly it just doesn’t make any goddamn sense. “Piglet tribe of savages” – is he talking about Golding’s Lord of the Flies or what?
If you fight, you fight. If you hope, you hope.
He is talking about the wrong "piglet tribe of savages"

I really wanna see Sonnen get beat up. He is a douche above all douches…
How does Piglet fit into it then?

If you fight, you fight. If you hope, you hope.

I'm wondering if he meant to say "pygmy."
Of course, that would be the icing on Chael’s racist cake.
If you fight, you fight. If you hope, you hope.
i love it
Now when Anderson says his opponant disrespected him we can all agree and not scratch our heads. And I’m sure Chael is aware of his words and his political standing, we should stop worrying about that.can’t wait for this to really heat up.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand
there’s the line. back there. you crossed it. wasn’t it just yesterday we were wondering when he would eff up and make an inappropriate racist remark? who knew it’d be an inappropriate religious remark instead.

Anderson...
Please obliterate him in this fight. Once he’s down and out blast him one last time ala’ Dan Henderson.

What is Sonnen’s process? Wake up, brush teeth, Tweet about Silva, eat breakfast, morning jerk off sesh….

Chael knows that it was the pagan Romans that were doing the crucification of Christians, yes?
No? Well, that figures.
Why are the people that want to yell loudest about the bible/the constitution/whatever the ones that seem to read them the least?

It’s sort of awesomely confused though. And on the third day, Anderson swept the devil and proceeded to whoop that ass…

74% Catholic, 90% Christian… according to the Brazilian Census via Wikipedia.
No mention of savages or demon effigy worship.
*Sigh*
There goes most of the thread.
I got warned for talking politics too… I am sorry Mr. Warner, it was not my intention to offend anyone. I was kidding on most fronts. I truthfully I could really care less about the politics of a country that I don’t live in.
I wasn’t kidding about how I find his comments offensive though. It is a shame that most of the outrage over what appears to be racist comments got swept out with the tide. Lots of people beilieve the comments crossed a line and that is true regardless of political views.
I got warned too
I take everything with a grain of salt after this place turned into a gossip rag for the Tito/Jenna soap opera.
Most of the thread was trash. Feel free to voice your displeasure with Sonnen’s comments. Just leave politics out of it. That topic almost always gets out of hand. Everyone knows this and for that reason those who bring it up are going to get warned and if they do it again they are likely to be banned. We don’t have a lot of rules around here. Please everyone follow them.
Bolts from the Blue // "He looks like a catfish" - Nick Hardwick on Brandon Siler
Bloody Elbow // " looks like your comment violated rule #4. and it’s a heck of a rule, rule #4" - Kid Nate
Also complaining about having comments hidden or warnings received in the comments is generally frowned upon.

I don't care specifically about anything I said
I was upset that a thread that was full of out rage only had the positive comments left. I was hoping a BE writer would stand up and say something about these comments as their voice is a little more far reaching than mine. I don’t care about the politics, I care about the racism.
Feel free to restate your opinion minus the politics. I’m still not convinced Sonnen’s tweet is anything other than incoherent.

Does this make Chael
MMA’s first openly racist fighter or have there been others?
just act rational, check your eyes, know your rights
mask the smell with air fresheners and be polite
and then you can easily just have your way with the law-
unless you're black, then you're pretty much fucked, sorry yall

These guys would give Chael a run for his money.

Good ol’ maryland boys.
Trying to get his 15mins of fame...
He better get his 15mins of fame now because he won’t get it when he steps into the octagon with Anderson Silva. The fight won’t get out of the 2nd round and I’m being generous and saying it’ll make it to the second round…
