has UnderArmour broken into the formal attire market yet? cuz then he could get multiple suits, and get paid to wear them

by Stillberry on May 7, 2010 1:23 PM EDT up reply actions

They’ve got the hunting market secured, so anything is possible.

Based on Primetime, Under Armour must be hooking up all of Tristar gym with their gear, since everyone training there had some. Nice deal for those other guys.

Belcher is #17 MW

i went looking to see if any other guys on this card were in the top 25, but only Belcher was missed. Not a lot of star/ranking power beyond the main and co-main

I find it funny that...

Machida’s in the orthodox pose, while Shogun’s in southpaw. I wonder if that was consciously done for camera’s sake?

by Bob Boblaw on May 7, 2010 5:01 PM EDT up reply actions

I read somewhere that Machida doesn't cut a lot of weight....

Surprised me because he looks pretty thick, it might just be his frame.

by truck on May 7, 2010 5:10 PM EDT up reply actions

He must have a great diet considering he used to fight at heavyweight. The reasons for drinking your own urine continue to grow.

Machida is maybe the third largest LHW in the division. Might be second. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him walking around at 240.

Meathead and Kimbo almost came to blows. It’s being reported on Cage Writer (via Patrick Cote’s twitter).

And by "came to blows", they meant Kimbo was gassed and needed a few breathers.

This might be a dumb question but any help would be appreciated, if I order this PPV from ufc.com will it work from the PS3 browser?

by Bob Boblaw on May 7, 2010 8:23 PM EDT reply actions

Never tried UFC.com, but ...

PS3 browser is generally shit when it comes to handling plug-ins like Flash. It seems like all the UFC.com stuff is implemented in Silverlight, which I doubt the PS3 browser supports.

I haven’t done a lot of browsing on my PS3 but every time I go to a Flash enabled site it fails miserably to install the Flash player.

I would suggest you try and load some of the free stuff on www.ufc.com/live beforehand (like the pre-fight conference or the weigh-ins) to test if it plays. That should allow you to decide whether or not to try and watch the PPV on your PS3. Good luck dude.

just saw the youtube video, I kinda feel bad for Machida getting all the boos, at the 2:28 min mark it looks like the boos got to him a bit. I’m behind Shogun 100%, but Machida didn’t deserve that one bit… sad…
