im hoping neer pulls this one off
he deserves to be in the UFC as well hes a good fighter
I think this is one of the bigger fights over the next couple of months. Sure it doesn’t have the appeal of Machida Shogun2 or Lesnar Carwin but this is a rare oppurtunity were outside talent is actually comparable to UFC talent and we get to test where these outside guys stand. We have seen Aoki fall now what happens when Alvarez takes on a legit mid tier UFC LW.
id love to see the japanese guys matchup head to head with the UFCs best
bj vs melendez
edgar vs aoki
florian vs alvarez
maynard vs kawajiri
those sound like some sick fights and a UFC sweep could possibly happen

I call bullshit on Neer. He said the only reason he was getting taken down is because he didn’t expect them to do that. Now he is expecting Alvarez to take him down so it won’t happen. What?
Hopefully he meant by all of that is that he has worked takedown defense. But still he likely can’t get much better TDD then these top tier wrestlers offense so I don’t know.
One things for sure Neer is one tough bastard.
I’ve got Neer in this one to throw an incredibly huge spanner into the lightweight ranking works.
Not that I condone facism or any ism for that matter. Isms are in my opinion, not good. A person shouldn't believe in an ism, he should believe in himself.
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me". Good point there, after all he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. Wouldn't change the fact I have to bum rides off of people.
If Neer wins, then does that make him a top 10 Lightweight (even though this fight is at a catchweight)?
I guess that will be the loop hole used. I think people will reason that if he wins and just drop Alvarez down/out.
