Kevin Randleman may be out of Strikeforce St. Louis:
"I’m sick and I think I might have a little bit of a staph infection," an aggravated Randleman told Sherdog.com on Tuesday. "They might have to replace me."
Randleman said his physician would tell him on Wednesday if he is healthy enough to fight in 11 days.

Hmm...
That seems strangely worded. Think he’s a little worried about getting tapped in like 40 seconds?

One day I got scared shitless and thought I was an adult
because I couldn’t see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Turns out I was eating Golden Grahams by accident.

G.I. Joooooes
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." - Jack Burton
Someone please explain why...
MMA fighter a susceptible to Staph infections?
Do you think it has anything to do with the sweat-soaked-bacteria-breeding mats they roll on?
If so, gyms need a “shower before you roll” policy. Surely someone needs to be disinfecting those mats after every session to minimise bacteria?
It seems a week doesn’t go by without a notable fighter being ‘hit’ with a Staph infection.

Not properly wiping down mats is usually the reason
Griffin’s book talks about Staph Infection a lot.
Yep, which is why after I get tattooed I don't get back on the mats until a week
Into healing. I’m not fucking with staph.

I work in the Microbiology Dept at the university
And even with intimate knowledge of how this crap happens, I still got a staph infection (one on each arm) from training Wing Chun.
Essentially it goes like this:
~30% of people are colonised by Staphylococcus aureus. It often hangs out in your nose. And while you might brush up against somebody with it, or even share a toothbrush (…) its not necessarily going to take up residence on YOU.
Now, if you regularly engage in activities where you have very sweaty/salty skin, and you are actively grinding that skin into somebody else’s, your chances of passing it go WAY up.
And by continuing to practice these activities you create the environment that Staph aureus thrives in.
In my case, they started out the morning after training looking like a spider bites. Within 2 days my right arm had a slightly angrier looking spider bite, but not much more. But my left arm was swolen up like a fucking ham, and was HOT.
The night before I was working with a guy who had “scabs that weren’t healing”, in essence I was retarded not to wash like a mofo afterwards.
