I don’t think so, both fights should be fireworks as Schaub has looked really good after his lost to Roy and Goran vs. Kendall should be a war too can’t ask for much more than that really.

by Nightwhistler

Least appealing? Really? Schaub is a young, big HW, who works with a great camp. How can you not be excited to see him fight?

And, although Grove is hit or miss, Reljic has looked great at times, and should be out for vengence after losing to Dollaway.

I’d rather see either one of these fights then the prelims from 109 (Torres vs. Guillard, Danzig vs. Buchholz)

by Fedorable

These are 2 fine fights to set the stage for the PPV. Is there another fight on the card fans would prefer to either one of these?

Maybe i'm a noob but...

where do these quotes come from?

by xfreekx on May 24, 2010 4:41 PM EDT up reply actions

Somebody posts a fanpost/fanshot of some notable news and either Nick or BE decide to do a more fleshed out version of the news (in this case by including the full fight card) that they place on the front page with headlines that should maximise traffic. Then the original fanpost/fanshot is deleted, Nick usually salvages the comments that had already been made on that post and includes them in the comments for the new front page story.

I want to put some money on Sexyama but how can I bet against the Axe Murderer?

beauty and the beast, how epic can you get? I am putting my money on the beast personally.

I would much rather see Kelly/Volkmann (mainly because I like Volkmann)

Than another Kendall Grove fight. I guess I’m fine with Schaub/Tusch but….I just don’t like Kendall Grove as a fighter.

To prove it, I'm picking Reljic by KO.

In that picture Kendall looks like he wants to smoke cigarettes and read you poetry

He looks like an Eastern European spy to me.

The Main card looks incredible,

Can’t really say the same for the prelims, Schaub should put Tuchscherererer away, but I the rest of the fights are kinda ehh. Lytle/Brown is gonna be could and Silva/Akiyama is gonna be fight of the night, And I hope Bonnar gets the win he’s not very good but the guy can take an ass whooping better than anyone these days.

I hope we get to see Vemola, curious to see what that guy can do, not expecting much but maybe

by Bob Boblaw on May 24, 2010 1:33 PM EDT reply actions

He can throw a right hand (and right hand only) that’s for sure.

This main card = Win

It’s possible that not a single fight goes the distance.

Really? I get the feeling all but the main event go the distance.

Disagree on this particular fight.

I think there’s money to be made on Chris Tuchscherer for this fight. I think Schaub won’t be able to overcome CT’s size if CT has the hand speed that day.

We can heckle him for losing to Almeida I guess.

Awesome Card

Akiyama at +145 looks tempting, but I just can’t say no to the Axe Murderer. Maybe I’ll waste my money on Carwin =D

Mike Goldberg is most excited about saying Chris “Lights Out” Lytle 52 times.

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing how many ankle braces, sweatbands, knee wraps, shoulder straps, monkey cups, etc., etc., etc. Sotiropoulos manages to cobble together. His Jiu-Jitsu outfits remind me of Voltron.

When Stephon Bonnar makes the main card you know there are issues.

Outside of the Main and Co main Event it could me a Fight Night card, They’ll all be good fights but Lytle/Brown will just be a sloppy brawl, K-sos over Bonnar again cut or not Bonnar would of lost the fight.

by tremblay6 on May 24, 2010 5:38 PM EDT reply actions

agreed, all i care about is this main event

none of these guys are fighting for number one contenders spots, none of them are even in the top tier in their divisions. this is a bunch of throwaway fights if you ask me, they’re just relying on the huge buys brock will bring and saving any interesting fights for cards with lesser main events.

ok, i’m mildly interested sotriopoulos and krystoff, but against pellegrino and bonnar? not so much.

by K Krush on May 24, 2010 6:17 PM EDT up reply actions

This is almost a fight night card minus the non title main event and even thats flimsy.
