According to a report from Danilo Lavieri on Brazilian site Abril.com, Wallid Ismail's Jungle Fight promotion and sports giant ESPN signed a one-year broadcasting agreement on Wednesday.
Ismail says that the contract gives ESPN broadcasting rights in North America for the next 12 months, beginning with this Saturday's event in Sao Paulo, and that there's also an option to renew from year to year.
UPDATE: Ismail tells Marcelo Alonso that this Saturday's event will air live on ESPN Deportes at 9PM ET / 6PM PT.

UFC wanted too much money? Or are they trying the MMA thing out with a small cheap promotion just to see how it goes before they shell out some real money.
Ubereem is here to kill the Finkelstein monster!
It's a deal with ESPN Deporttes
It’s not like Jungle Fights is coming on after Sports Center, I imagine the ratings (at least here in the States) will be fairly low for this, as will the budget and the promotion. They probably wanted some inexpensive programing, I doubt the UFC was even considered.
Relax. ESPEN will just pick up 5 events....
and show them over and over for ten years.

Jungle took some fighter from Brazil to perform abroad. That’s its legacy but the events aren’t that good. Hope you enjoy it.
