It’s at Rorion Graice’s gym/training center, supposed to be a replica. I was hoping for a replica of the alligator moat or some of the concepts.

interesting. moats are under-utilized today.

Wow, epic trailer as usual and yeah the UFC 1 toy cage is awesome.

I almost wish I wasn’t going to be in Vegas for UFC 114 while this event goes down.

it would be nice to see dream get on solid footing and for japanese MMA to get back on track.

Now that the UFC has taken in and gotten rid of most of the Japanese fighters there will be more of the top Japanese talent available at home so maybe they can get back on track. Also with the deal with Strikeforce they are able to test them selves in North America with out having to sign their lives away. I like Japanese MMA and I hope it stays around. Sure they need a few things like say rules but other than that I really like their attitude over there.

I couldn’t disagree with your first sentance more. Japanese MMA will get back on track the second they start pulling high quality fighters from around the world. What made Pride great was the fact that the fighter pool came from all over the world, whereas the UFC was essentially Brazillian and American fighters only. Japan is a small place and it’s crazy to think that Dream will put on world class MMA pulling so heavily from such a small fighter pool.

not to mention it appears that Americans (both north and south) are just stronger and more athletic

More importantly

We are also technically superior. Sorry that’s not nationalism just fact.

Hideo Tokoro is on the card

That’s all I needed to hear.

How can Yamamoto be that high on a card?

Two Ls in last two fights. I think the guy’s done.

Then again, I guess Sakuraba is headlining. Maybe “done” is the card’s theme.

He's still very popular

That’s the reason he’s high on the card.

Yeah, I forgot:

Nobody in Japan cares if you can actually fight anymore. The two qualifications are:

1. Be Japanese
2. You said you were Japanese, right?

You forgot

3. Don’t be Korean
4. If you are Korean, if you expect to win, you better KO or submit you’re opponent.

5. Be ethnically Korean and willing to play the heel for big paydays. (Looking at you, Sexiyama.)

Two Ls in last two fights. I think the guy’s done.

Kid is the Japanese equivalent of Chuck Liddell, and last time I checked Chuck is still fighting in main events in the UFC despite losing 4 of his last 5.

One More Fight

Will be announced on Thrusday. My guess would be Katsunori Kikuno getting a fight, he’s been asking for one on this card….

Damn sun

This seems like DREAM’s weakest card yet. At least it’ll be in the white cage.

Naw Son!!

DREAM.12 was teh weaksauce, I don’t foresee any slow action fights on the card…

by Taua on May 18, 2010 11:39 AM EDT up reply actions

Nah man I agree with Taua….. this might not be as full of “big fights” as sum Dream cards, but every fight is handpicked to provide alot of action, i’m betting, best dream card in years.

Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Joachim Hansen is goin’ be sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

by moonlapse88 on May 18, 2010 11:50 AM EDT reply actions

Lots of good fights on this card. As always I love the way Dream promotes fights. Got to love the way Dream promotes Strikeforce more than Showtime/CBS does.

That trailer is a trademark lawyer's wet dream.

Tatum: I think he's a good man. I like him. I got nothing against him, but I'm definitely gonna make orphans of his children.
